Introduction --------------- Welcome to the Much Games official strategy guide for The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess. In this guide, you will learn how to finish the game, plus have all the secrets, items, know the Howling Stone Locations, and learn about the Cave of Ordeals. Note: The Wii version of Link is Right-Handed, while the GameCube version is like the other Links in past Zelda games; Left-Handed. This will make the maps different. Keep in mind that West in the Wii version is East in the GameCube version. This guide will make mention of both the Wii and GameCube versions, but north and south will remain the same. ----------------- 2. Strategy Guide ----------------- --------------------------- 2.1 Ordona Province, Part 1 --------------------------- After watching the beginning of the game, you will need to find Epona. Go straight to the Ordon Spring, located north of the village. This will be easy to find, because you seen the path that Ilia goes down. After finding your horse, use the reed next to the water and blow on it. After Epona comes to you, just get on her and ride her into town. Go south straight to the ranch, and speak to Fado. You will then be given the task of putting the goats in the barn. Star this off with the far side of the ranch, and whoop the goats into the barn. Try to get them in groups, but you might need to go aroun for any stray ones. After doing this, Fado will let you jump around the ranch until you want to leave. To leave, just jump the gate. After entering the village again from your house (a new day has begun), talk to the people around. Climb the vines and talk to Jaggle. He will point to you Sera's cat, located right next to the water. Go to the next piece of land, and pick the reed. This one will call a falcon. Use this falcon to hit the bee hive if you want, but you are better off waiting until you have at least two empty bottles. You will also need 100 Rupees for one bottle. After shooting off this falcon, go to the next bluff area, and recall the falcon. This time, there is a target that you will need to get. The monkey down at the other end of the lake has a Uli's cradle. If you were already talking to her, then you know that she is waiting for her child to be born. ANyway, target the monkey and then when ready, fire off the falcon towards the monkey. The falcon will take the cradle, and pass it back to you. Take the cradle back to Uli. In exchange for the cradle, Uli will give you the fishing rod that Colin made for you. Go down to the spot where Sera's cat is. The cat will run away for a second, but not too far. Read the directions carefully, because there are two different ways to fish, all depending on the console you have. After catching two fish, the second one will be stolen by the cat. At this point, follow the cat straight to the shop. You will recieve a bottle of milk, and you can buy a Slingshot. Get it for 30 Rupees. Show the children the Slingshot. This will be a test of how well you can hit all the targets. Something that is not real hard. After that, shoot the spider that is on your ladder. climb it and go inside to see what Rusl left you. You now have the Wooden Sword. Go back outside and use the sword on the practice dummies. The children will be impressed. --------------------------- 2.2. Faron Province, Part 1 --------------------------- After seeing the monkey, Talo and Malo will chase after it. Climb onto Epona, and quickly go north. After crossing the bridge, make sure that you jump the fence, then go to the path of the Forest Temple. Dismount off Epona, and look to the ground to find the sword Talo was using to try to hit the monkey with. There is a sign there that warns you about it being too dark to venture into the cave without a light. Also, you cannot advance much farther because of the spider web. Go northwest (northeast on GameCube) and straight to Coro. You will get a free Lantern. If you have 100 Rupees, then buy a bottle of lantern oil. Return to the cave, but this time enter it. Defeat the enemies while they come, and light the torches while you are going towards there. This will give you a better look at the surroundings. Once you emerge from the cave, you will notice two red-marked destinations that are on the Faron Woods map. Go to the northwest (northeast on GameCube) location first to get a Small Key. Light the two torches to get another chest. This one will give you a Heart Piece. You will need to get this now, because there will not be any other time later. Before you save Talo, you will notice a bird-operated shop that is located outside the Forest Temple. It will cost 20 Rupees to buy Lantern Oil, and 30 to buy the Red Potion. Make sure that you pay, and full as well. The bird will peck at you until you pay in full. If you do not have enough Rupees, then stay away from there. You will notice that both Talo, and the monkey that Talo was chasing are now captive on the front door to the Forest Temple. Defeat the enemies that are guarding then using the Wooden Sword, and then use the Spin Attack to rescue Talo and the monkey. ----------------------------- 2.3. Getting Ready for Hyrule ----------------------------- After the little sequence where you talk to Rusl, and find out that everything has been set up for you to leave for Hyrule Castle, you can take a final moment to talk to Fado. He will let you leave early, but you will need to gather in the herd first. If you can gather the herd in under 3 minutes, then you will be better at it then the first time. You can still beat it in over 3 minutes, but Fado will mention that you wee slower then usual, and mention about the trip to Hyrule on your mind. Go talk to the Mayor. Ilia will come by and get mad at you for not taking care of Epona. This will delay your trip. Talk to the rest of the town before you go see Ilia once again. Once you are done, go back to Ordon Springs, where Ilia is healing Epona. Colin is also there, and Ilia will not let you in. You will need to go around back through a tunnel. Go south and stay close to the wall that the pool is near. You will find the tunnel there. After entering it, and making it to the pool, Epona will be happy to see you. After the scene, the real battle begins. Ilia, Colin, and all the other children are takin away, while you were knocked out by that beast. After watching the scene, you will be transformed into a wolf, and taken to the dungeon. -------------------- 2.4. Twilight Castle -------------------- After meeting the strange creature, she will help you escape from the prison by breaking the chain, but you will need to find a way out of there. Destroy the debris on the southeast (southwest on GameCube) corner. There is a hole now under the bars. Simply dig your way out. Note: In order to break the debris on the Wii, just sweep the Wiimote or shake the nunchuk. Enter the next cell, where the strange being will mention about the chain. Z-target (L-target on GameCube) the chain and jump up there to bite it. This will give you access to the sewer. After using your senses and learning what they are all about, you will need to flood the sewers in order to get across the spikes. Simply jump up and bite the chain that is south of the spikes. This will give you access to the other side. Go to the northeast (northwest on GameCube) corner of the room, and pull down the chain. Now go towards the gate, and the little being will float though them. You will need to crawl through a hole that is located near the bars. Go straight to the tower steps. This will take you out of the sewers and to the rooftops of the castle. There are some jump that you will be able to make on your own, but as for the other jumps, you will need to depend on the creature. At one point, there will be a jump that you will not be able to make. Get past this by using the rope. Once you make it to the top of the stairs, you will need to defeat the Keese that are in the way. Use the creature here for assistance. After defeating the Keese, climb up on the block that is near the closed door. Use the strange being's help in order to reach the top of the tower. You will need to use a zig-zag pattern for this one. Make sure that you keep targeting the being, because letting go will make you fall. Your next area will be to walk along the rooftop and get to the person that the being wants you to meet. One of the spirits on the rooftop will mention about this being Hyrule Castle. You might have realized this one once you seen it. Push a crate, then hop on it to access the roof and keep on going forward. Make sure that when you are ready to fight the flying creatures, that you position yourself away from the ledge. Target the beasts, and then attack them. After they are defeated, keep moving along the rooftop. Notice on the map that there is a long gap. Once you make it there, the being will guide you to the other rooftop that you need to make it to. After fighting two shadow creatures, go straight to the tower. After going into the window, climb the stairs and enter the room. This will take you to the Twilight Princess, Princess Zelda. After the scene, you will be placed back in the Ordona Province. ---------------------------- 2.5. Ordona Province, Part 2 ---------------------------- Midna, the twilit, will be willing to help you in your quest to save the children, and Ilia, but she will ask of you to get a sword and shield. At this point, you will need to go into Ordona Village, and they are not happy about wolves. After entering Ordona village, cross the bridge that is on the west (east on GameCube) part of Ordona Village. You will see Bo and Jaggle talking to each other. Sneak up to the tall grass to hear about the conversation about the Sword and the Shield. The Shield is in Jaggle's house, while you will know the Swords location later. Midna will point out about the location of the window. While you are trying to go near the shop, Hanch will spot you from the bluff, and call on the falcon. Go to the far side of the shop, and let Midna instruct you to go to the roof. She will help you get on the roof. Once on the roof, jump to the birch and Hanch will jump straight into the water. Follow Midna to jump to the waterwheel, and into Jaggle's house. At this point, you will need to find the Shield. Go straight to the Storage Loft, where Midna will help you get there, and dash into the wall a few times in order to knock it off the wall. You now have one of the two items you seek. Your next destination will be to Rusl and Uli's house. The Sword is located there. After hearing about the conversation between both Rusl and Uli, you will need to avoid them in order to to get the sword. Sneak up to the house on the east (west on GameCube) side of the house, near the pumpkins and the chickens. Make sure that you put the senses on, and dig under the house to get inside. Once inside, take the sword from the sofa. Now that you have the Ordonian Sword and Ordonian Shield, you will not need to be in Ordona Village. Exit the village, and go back to the Ordon Spring. Once you return to the Ordon Spring, a Shadow creature will appear trying to steal the light from the Light Spirit, Ordon. Defeat the creature, which later on you will fight in groups, and listen to what Ordon has to say. Your next destination will be Faron Woods. ------------------------ 2.6. Faron Woods, Part 1 ------------------------ Go north until you meet up with three Shadow creatures. If you defeat them one at a time, you will be wasting time. The third one will screech, which will wake the others up. At this time, you will need Midna's help defeat them. Hold down the other attack button, and wait until dark energies surrounds all of them. Once it does, then they will be defeated. This will result in the next Light Spirit mentioning about her light being stolen. You will then be asked to use the Vessel of Light to return the tears of light to. This will also return Link into human form. Now is the time that you start exterminating the shadow creatures, and return the light to the Faron Province. You will also need to use your senses to defeat them. Luckily, the people are unable to see you, but you can see them and listen to their conversation. Here are all 16 bugs, the locations, and how to defeat them, and collecting the Fairy Tears at the same time: 1. You will see this one along the path, defeat it by attacking it, the collect the tear. 2. This one is right next to the first one. 3. Go to Coro's place, and ram the house. The insect will be within reach. 4. Enter Coro's house via the south ramp. With Midna's help. jump into the house. After hearing what Coro says, defeat the bug. 5. Right next to bug number four. Coro will wonder what happened to the bugs after defeating this one. 6. Go back to the gate where the bugs entered to get away from your reach. Make sure that your senses are on in order to dig your way to the other side of the gate. Once on the other side, defeat this insect. 7. Right next to bug six. 8. Run into the rock wall near the middle of the forest. once it is knocked down, defeat it. 9. Right next to bug eight. 10. Once you have made it to the middle of the poisonous fog (inside the hollow tree with Midna's help), use your senses to defeat the tenth one. 11. This one is near the tenth bug. 12. In the same area as the tenth and eleventh insects. 13. After you cross through the poisonous fog with Midna's help, (make sure that you keep holding on to Z-Targeting on Wii, and L-Targeting on the GameCube so that you do not fall into the fog. In some areas, you will need to wait until the fog is not in the way. Once you have made it to the other side, the bug will be there. You will need to dig in order to surface it to destroy it. 14. In the same area as insect Thirteen. 15. This one is on the steps of the Forest Temple where the monkey spirit is. This is the same monkey you rescued earlier. 16. This one is with insect 15. After watching the scene where you see Link in the clothing he is used to, You will also have the Ordon Sword and Shield. This is now helpful while you will be in the Forest Temple. Your next place to go will be the Forest Temple. However, the problem right now happens to be that you are not in Wolf form, so you cannot dig under the gate, and without Epona, you cannot jump over the gate. You will need to go over to Coro, who just happens to have the key. Talk to him, and if you have enough Rupees, get the bottle of Lantern Oil. This will also help with your second bottle. You have now reached the area with the poisonous fog. Try to take out the Lantern, then the monkey will steal it. Follow the monkey and defeat all the creatures that appear within the poisonous fog. After you reach the end, get the Lantern back, and put the oil in it. It will be empty. On your way to the Forest Temple, you will find a Golden Wolf blocking the way. This is a Stalfos that is called the Hero's Spirit. You will train you in seven different hidden skills that will be helpful during the course of the game. The first hidden skill is the Ending Blow. This will be needed in the Forest Temple. Go to the Forest Temple enterance. You will see a web that is blocking the enterance. Use the Lantern to remove it, then put the Lantern away to save fuel. Enter the Forest Temple. ------------------ 2.7. Forest Temple ------------------ After entering the first room of the Forest Temple. Destroy the cage, then use the Slingshot to defeat the Spiders that are on the vines. Go up the vines and into the next room. The next room will feature a spider that awaits you on a platform. Use some slices with your Sword, then defeat it with the Ending Blow. Once the spider is defeated, use the Lantern on the four torches, then climb the stairs. This will get you the Dungeon Map. With the monkey's help. go through the north door. You will see a Baboon use the Gale Boomerang to destroy the bridge. Go back into the previous room, and with the monkey's aid, go into the west (east on GameCube) room. In the Forest Temple, there are Spiders that will turn into Bombs after you slice them. You will need to put away your Sword in order to use them. To save time, you can also use your Shield on them. Once the rocks are blown up, get rid of the jars. One of them will uncover Ooccoo, a being that allows you to warp out of the Temple at any point in time you want. The monkey that has been following you will try to get you to go into the west (east on GameCube) door. You will need to go through the north door in order to get the Small Key. After going into the north door, use the rotating bridges to make it to the key, then go back into the previous room. Defeat the Spider, and go into the west (East on GameCube) door. The second caged monkey will be in this room. You will notice it on the pillar inside this room. Cross the bridge to get to the other side, only to watch the bridge fall afterwards. Ram into the pillar three times. The monkey will be free, and some enemies will appear. Defeat them and use the monkeys in order to get back to the previous room. Go back into the second room that you entered and go into the east (west on GameCube) room. Defeat the large Baba Serpant, and climb to the first Spiderbomb. Use your Shield to turn it into a Bomb, then feed it to the Maneater. Climb over the space where the Maneater was located to, and defeat the Spiders that are on the vines. Use your Shield on the next Spiderbomb, then feed it to the next Maneater. Go into that room, and get the Heart Piece. Go into the southeastern (southwestern on GameCube) room. You will watch a plant swallow a key that will be needed in the Temple. Target the giant baba, and when it comes at you, dodge it, and use a Jump attack to defeat it. You will need to do this more then once, but after that is defeated, you just need to worry about getting the key. There are Spiderbombs in the area, so you can use them to get the key out of the remaining part of the plant. Once this is done, then free the monkey. Go into the room that is east (west on GameCube) of the deadly plant room. There is another monkey here in a cage. Ram into the pole and get the key in the chest. Swim in the water to avoid the enemies that are under some tiles. Steping on them enemies will throw you across the room. Light the torches with the Lantern. Some steps will appear, allowing you to get the monkey. After you get the Gail Bomberang, you will need to come back to this room, in order to collect the Heart Piece. Go back to the room with the monkeys you already rescued on the west (east on GameCube) side of the room. Go into the north room, and allow the monkeys to help you to the room you tried to get into earlier. It is now time to fight with the Baboon over the Gail Boomerang. After the baboon jumps around the posts a few times, he will stop to throw the Boomerang. Ram the post that he is on, and the Boomerang will knock him off. Strike with your sword. Beware of the enemies that the Baboon frees from their vines. They will jump at you. Defet them as well. Repeat this process until the Baboon is defeated. The Baboon will not die, but the Shadow creature controlling the Baboon will. You will now have the Gail Boomerang. To exit the room with the Baboon fight, use the Gail Boomerang on the turnstile that is in front of the door. Once you exit the room, the monkeys will not be there. You will need to use the bridges that are on the east (west on GameCube) side There is another monkey there is in a cage, and is in the air because of a web. Use the Gail Boomerang to lock in the cage as a target. This will free the monkey. Also, use the Gail Boomerang to turn the bridges to get back into another previous room. Before you go into the main room, enter the east (west on GameCube) room again. Now that you have the Gail Boomerang, you will be able to cross the bridge, and use the Gail Boomerang on the enemies that hide under the tiles. Once they are above the ground, you can defeat them with your sword. To get the Heart Piece in this room, use the Gail Boomerang to extinguish the torches that are in this room. The platforms will drop, and you will see a chest. Open it to get the second Heart Piece. Go back to the central room, and get the Gail Boomerang ready. Use the Boomerang to get the chest down from the webbing at the top of the room. Open it to get the Compass. Go into the west (east on GameCube) room and go straight to the four turnstiles. There is a path on the ground that describes how to open the cage. Use the Gail Boomerang to lock in the same pattern that is on the floor. Your prize for getting it done right will be the Big Key. From the room where you got the Big Key,go up to the next room. Use the Gail Boomerang to get the bridge to point towards your direction. Get on it and hit the turnstile again. Go to the the east (west on GameCube) room. This room will have some Spiders and three holes in the floor. Go to the northern hole, and use the Lantern to burn it. After it is burned, go down through it and you should land on the stump next to a monkey. Destroy the cage, and defeat the enemies that are around thne area. Leave this room, and go to the room that is before the boss room. You will need to rotate the bridge to face north and south. As you can see there are not enough monkeys to get you across to the boss. You will need to go east (west on GameCube) at this point. You will need to use the bridges to get to the land on the east (west on GameCube) side of the room. Use the Gail Boomerang as many times as it takes until you have reached that bit of land. Go into the next room. There is a Spiderbomb on an island that is located to the north end of this room. Use the Gail Boomerang to get it next to you, then pick it up, and throw it into the mouth of the plant. This will give you access to another Small Key. Look carefully around the room. Notice that there are rocks at the top of the vines in the room. This is were the lock feature comes into play here (Z on the Wii, and R on the GameCube). Target the Spiderbomb, and then target the rocks. If you done this right, then the Gail Boomerang will carry the Spiderbomb over to the rocks, causing an explosion. Climb up into the now available alcove, and defeat the enemies that are there. After defeating the enemies, look over the room to the Spiderbomb again. Use the Boomerang to get the Spiderbomb to you, then pick it up and throw it at the boulder. This will free another monkey. Go back into the room before the boss, then into the room before that. Now hop onto the bridge and turn it to face east-west. Go through the west (east on GameCUbe) door. Take out the Gail Boomerang and use it on the tiles that are on the floor. After getting some enemies up from the floor, defeat them, and get to the final monkey that needs to be rescued. Go back to the room before the boss. Now that all the monkeys are rescued, they will be able to help you get to the Boss. After the monkeys form a single swing line, jump onto it and then when ready jump to the other side. Before entering the boss room, take time to break open the pots, and get the Fairy to replenish your health when needed. Boss: Diababa: The battle will start with the two giant buds Target the Spiderbombs, then target the buds to knock them back into the poisoned fog. Once this is done on both buds, round two will begin. You will now get the main creature, and the two Buds. There will be an attempt to cover you in purple liquid. Sidestep it and wait until you see the Baboon. The Baboon will help you out by holding onto a Spiderbomb. Target it and then target the Diababa's head. Releasr the Boomerang once you target both. After a direct hit, the DIababa's head will fall to the ground, and you will be able to strike the tongue (mainly the eye) with your sword. Once the Diababa is back up from the ground repeat the process until it is defeated. Congradulations. You defeated Diababa and got a Fused Shadow piece. Collect the Heart Container and exit the temple. ------------------- 2.8. Eldin Province ------------------- Now that you can leave the Faron Woods, and the Faron Province, you will need to go to the Eldin Province. This is located on the west (east on GameCube) part of Hyrule. If you so happen to see any Golden Bugs, then collect them. Also, get the Heart Piece that is along the way. See the Heart Piece section of the guide to find the location, and how to get it. While going to the Eldin Province, you will run into the Postman. You will now get the first of many letters throughout the game. Continue moving on through the narrow passage until you reach more darkness. Midna will allow you to enter. You will once again turn into Wolf form. After becoming a wolf again, keep moving until you see the Wooden Sword you passed to Talo. Sniff it using your senses. You will gain the scent of all the children, minus Ilia. Use your senses to follow the trail to Kakariko Village. While on your way to Kakariko Village you will encounter three more Shadow Creatures. Defeat them with Midna's attack by targeting all three of them. You will now open a portal. You will now notice that along the gap, there was a bridge there that allowed you to get to Kakariko Village. Midna knows where the bridge is located. This is where you will learn about your warp abilities. Warp to the north Faron Woods. The bridge will be located there. Once you are there. look at the bridge (which is located along side a cliff), and with the help of Midna, warp back to the gap. Midna will use her abilities to take the bridge and send it to where it was origionally. You now have access to Kakariko Village. While keeping your canine senses on, continue going to the path that the scent takes you. You will end up at the gate next to Kakariko Village. Because the door is closed, you are not able to walk through the gate. Like the gate in the Faron Woods, you will need to find a spot where you can dig under the gate. Go into Kakariko Village, and prepare to fight. Defeat the three Shadow Creatures by taking out the loner first, then use Midna's attack to defeat the remaining two. Go to the pond, where the spirit Eldin is located to. You will get the second vessel of Light, meaning that you will need to get 16 more tears that the Shadow creatures have. Unlike the Faron Woods, a lot of these creatures are inside buildings. The first three Shadow Creatures just happen to be in the building located next to the pond. This is the Shaman's house. Because of your wolf status, you cannot enter the building with ease. Go around back until you see either the tree or the cart. With Midna's help, target her and jump to her in order to make it to the roof. Once on top, go into the house. Once inside, use your senses you see the children, then listen to the conversation between everybody. They will give you a hint on how to get to the basement. Light all the torches, then enter the basement. Here are all sixteen bugs, and their locations: 1. In the Basement of the Shaman's house. 2. Same location as number 1 3. Same location as numbers 1 and 2. 4. After exiting the Shaman's basement, you will be in the Graveyard. There is one in the Graveyard 5. Exit the Graveyard, and go to the General store's east (west on GameCube) side. Go inside, and you will find it in there. 6. Go south of the dead end sign, next to the General Store, and walk up the hill. Once you are at the edge, jump across and enter the Inn through the glass. Light a stick, and use it on the furnace. One insect will emerge from the pipes. 7. Still inside the Inn, explore the rooms. Defeat all the enemies that are not insects, and go to the second floor. There will be one up there. 8. In the row of boarded-up houses, located on the west (east on GameCube) side of town. Climb up the pen that is on the south end of the row, and fall into the hole that is on the third roof. Move the crates to find the shadow insect. 9. Go north of the Barnes Bomb Shop, and crash through the window of the Bomb Shop. Go to the dresser on the second floor, then knock over the dresser. After defeating it, and collecting the tear of course, exit using the dresser to get to the opened area. 10. After exiting the Bomb Shop, climb to the top of the cliff to the explosives storage building. You might see an insect enter this building. Find a stick in the building, and light it. Go to the furnace, and light it. The insects will fly out and light the explosives. Escape the building, and watch it explode. All the tears will appear. 11. See number 10. 12. See number 10. 13. Climb straight to the top of the ledges located northeast (northwest on GameCube) of where the explosives hold was once located. After reaching the building that is located at the top, make sure that you use your senses. There is a spot where you can dig in the building, giving you the advantage to get another bug. 14. Going up Death Mountain, this one will be located along the trail, in a series of geysers. The first Howling Stone will be in this area. Learn the song, and once you return to Human form, go to that destination. 15. Travel a little further up, and disengage your senses. Defeat the Shadow beasts in order of the one in the maze first, then the first from the remaining three, then the final two with the help of Midna. Engage your senses to find one waiting around a fence. 16. Continuing along the path of the fire. Avoid the fireballs, and with Midna's help to get to some new heights. After defeating the visable creatures, then using the senses, find the final insect. You will now return to being human for awhile. Go talk to the Shaman and find out about Death Mountain. While you go up Death Mountain, you will see a Goron take aim at you. You can try to grab all you want, but you will end up flying off the cliff. Go back and talk to the Shaman. He will reveal that the mayor of Ordon earned the respect of the Goron tribe. You will need to go back and see Bo. Before you can exit Kakariko Village a familiar horse shows up. Epona has become wild thanks to the bandits that napped her along with the children, and Iyla. Quickly get on Epona and follow the directions at the bottom of the screen. Eventually, and with a lot of patience, you will get control of Epona. Congradulations on getting your horse back. While you are on your way back to Ordon Village, you should go back to the Ordon Spring an learn your second Hidden Skill, the Shield Attack. Go talk to Bo to learn about his secret from earning the trust from the Gorons. You will need to defeat him a few times in a Sumo match. After doing so, you can earn the secret to Bo's triumph over the Gorons, the Iron Boots. Return to Kakariko Village, only to see Colin kidnapped once again by the bandits. Chase them outside the village, and hunt down the leader. The other minions will also follow you. Defeat them as well if they are extremely close to you, because they can throw you far off the leader. You can also try to ignore the other bandits and continue going after the leader. Just use the speed of Epona so that you can keep up with the leader. Keep slicing at the leader so that you keep taking off the armor. You will eventually end up on the bridge in a one on one matchup. Use full speed and swerve at the last second. Once you done that, quickly strike the bandit leader with your sword to see him fly off the bridge. Go back to Kakariko Village. Go into the Malo Mart after finding out what Malo was doing, and talk to Malo. For a cheap price of 200 Rupees, you can get the Hylian Shield. This shield will be resistant to Fire, and is needed for the Goron Mines. Go back to Death Mountain. Once you make it to the Goron that knocked you off the mountain, put on the Iron Boots. You will need to teach this Goron a lesson. Grab onto the Goron and throw him over the edge. Take off the boots and go up the mountain until you see another Goron. Put the boots back on and throw the next Goron away from you. Continue this process until you make it to the area with the bandits. As you notice the Bandits are shooting arrows at you. Go to the blade of grass and call on the falcon. Throw the falcon at each enemy that you see. Once they are defeated, move until you can get to another blade of grass. Once again, defeat the enemies shooting at you. Keep in mind that you will need to wait until the geysers have died down. This will give you a clear target to shoot at. Once you get to the Goron camp, keep a notice for two things. The first thing is the Goron using another Goron to jump up to the camp. The second thing is the rocks that fall from the mountain tops itself. You will deal with that later. Right now, you will need to use the Gorons to get to the camp. Do this by fighting them, then get on them to launch to the next patform. Repeat this step at each Goron, and make sure that you get through the steam by using the Iron Boots. Once you are int he Goron camp, the top Goron there, Cor Goron, will challenge you to a duel. Put on the Iron Boots before talking to him, or you will not stand a chance against him. Remember the moves that Bo trained you with, and use them against Cor Goron. There will be attempts by Cor Goron to slap you causing you to be stunned. If he grabs onto you, repeatedly press A to get free. Once you get a chance to, grab him and throw him out of the ring. Doing so will give you access to the Goron Mines. Before going into the Goron Mines, you might want to consider going into Cor Goron's chamber. There is an elevator shaft in there that will take you to the hot spring. Use the Iron Boots to move it. ---------------- 2.9. Goron Mines ---------------- There are Lava geysers around when you first start off. You will need to jump from ledge to ledge to get from ledge to ledge. Do it as the lava dies down. Once you reach the area with the balls of fire, you will find a switch there. Use the Iron Boots to step on it, then take them off right away. You will have a short amount of time to make it to the other side of the fireball. Once you have done it successfully, you will end up seeing a heavy door located at the north end of this room. Jump onto the big platform that is next to it. Put on the Iron Boots and watch the door open. Enter the next room. The next room you enter will be a large circular chamber. After the cut-scene, go left (right on GameCube) and straight to the chest. You will get a Small Key. Go back to the ramp , and follow the east (west on GameCube) side of the room. Use the key to continue going forward. You will now face off with two Dodongos within the next area. Defeat them by targeting the tails, and hitting them with your Sword. There is an area in the northeast (northwest on GameCube) section of the room where you can use the chain to make the wall slide. Do this and wait for the flame pillars to stop, then let go of the chain and quickly jump to the next platform. Keep doing this until you reach the newly opened section. There is a time limit to this so you will need to do it fast. Once you enter the next room, go into the water and put on the Iron Boots. Sink to the bottom and quickly walk to the switch on the floor. Activating the switch will cause you to go to the ceiling, Iron Boots first. You are now able to walk on the magnetic blue surface. Go straight into the next room. The next room you enter will be that of the elder Gor Amoto. It is here that you learn about the key being split into three sections, with each elder holding a piece. Collecting all three will get you to elder Darbus, and the boss fight. Go behind Gor Amoto, and open the chest to get the Dungeon Map. Get the other chest to get 20 Rupees. Go up the ladder onto the next floor, and pick up the pot that is shaking. You will discover Ooccoo. Just like in the last dungeon, Ooccoo will warp you out of the dungeon if needed. Continue to the path that overlooks the water. Look around this part of the room to notice the blue walls to both the left and right side of you. Go to them, and put on the Iron Boots. Walk over to the ledge and the door on the west (east on GameCube) side of the room. Once you are in the next room, which will have a Heart Piece, activate the magnet switch and walk on the curved path when on the ceiling to the west (east on GameCube) part of the room. After returning to the large circular chamber, you will go to the center of the chamber. Defeat all the enemies there, and stomp on the switch with the Iron Boots to activate the magnet to carry you over the lava. Go into the next room on the second floor (north exit will take you there, and defeat all the Tektites that are in the room. Next, go into the water and swim to the northwest (northeast on GameCube) part of the room. Put on the Iron Boots and sink to the chest. You will now have a Small Key. Take off the Iron Boots, and swim to the southeast (southwest on GameCube) corner of the pool. Put the Iron Boots back on and sink to the crate. Push the crate out of the way, and walk into the wired cage. Once you have completed this, swim back to the surface, and climb back to dry land. Once on land, go to the east (west on GameCube) end of the room to the platform. Put the Iron Boots on and stomp on the platform. This will activate another magenet. Use the magnet, as well as the magnetic path to get to the highest platform in the room. Walk to the center of the room, and use the Iron Boots on that platform to activate a magnetic stream that is located below you. You will need to jump into the magnetic stream and put on the Iron Boots as soon as you jump off. Once you are in the stream, you will be carried to the west (east on GameCube) side of the room, where you will need to walk a curved path to the next platform. After getting the Rupees, hit the blue crystal with your sword. This will open a gate at the north end of the room. Go into the next room. The next room will have two Beamos statues, as well as a draw bridge. Go to the east (west on GameCube) side of the room, and use the Iron Boots to ascend the wall. Go to the side with the chest on it. Open the chest to get the next Heart Piece. Go back on the wall, and this time go to the bridge rope. Cut it using the sword. Go to the next room. The next room will contain three archers. You will need to ignore them now, and come back for them later. Avoid the Beamos, and get the chest. You will now have a Small Key. Use it on the door that is on the west (east on GameCube) path and enter the next room. This room will feature a long platform that will revolve at a steady rate. You will need to get to the magnetic part and put on the Iron Boots. One side of the bridge has only one magnetic part. Choosing this part will mean that you will need to be fast getting to that side, and put on the Iron Boots as it is turning when you reach the middle. The other side has three magnetic parts. This is the best route to take. Once on the other side, go to the next room. Got Ebizo will be in the next room. He knows why you are there, and will recieve the second key shard in the northwest (northeast on GameCube) side of the room. You are also told about the item that is in the dungeon. Open the chest to get 10 Rupees, and climb the ladder. Follow the path to the previous room, and use the magnetic path to the right (left on GameCube) and take to path to this room's south end. Go into the next room and be prepared for a fight. This is the Guardian of the item in this Dungeon. He will stop at nothing to see his treasure protected. This weak spot on this giant is the belly, so once his arm is raised, and you are close enough, you will need to attack him with your sword. after a few hits to the stomach, the guardian will not be pleased, and will roll into a ball and try to knock you off the platform. This is the time to put on the Iron Boots and Z-Target (L-Target on GameCube) to make sure that the camera is situated behind you. When he gets close, grab him with A, and toss him with left or right. After throwing him into the lava three times, you will win. Enter the next room, and get the Hero's Bow. To exit the room with the Hero's Bow in it, target the draw bridge rope, and hit it. This will lower the draw bridge, giving you access to the next place to go. The next room you enter will contain some inactive Beamos statues. After reaching the south Beamos, all the Beamos will activate. Fire an arrow at the red lights on each Beamos statue, starting with the south one. Once they are out od action, you will be able to pull them out of the way, and get anything behind them. Behind the east (west on GameCube) one is a Compass. Go to the opposite one of the compass one after retireving it, and go into that room. The final Goron Elder will be in this room. Approach him and talk to him. You will be given the final key shard, and will now have the key to the Boss, and ironically, Darbus. Open the chest to get 50 Rupees, and return to the Beamos room. Go to the path that is south of the Beamos room. You will reach a wired fence. Simply roll to knock it down. Make sure that you take out for Bow, and start attacking the enemies that are above the islands. Once they are all gone, jump from island to island until you reach the north side. Once you are at the gate on the north side. look around and notice a switch that is on the ground. Hit it with an arrow, and activate a magnet. This will pull you to the ceiling. There will be a Dodongo awaiting you as well. Before going to the ceiling, target the tail with your Bow. Once you are on the ceiling, you will come into view with the crystal that will open the room's gate. Hit it with an Arrow, and drop to the floor. Go into the next room, which will look familiar. The next room you will be in is the one with the Archers. Stop moving and target all of them. Make sure that you can take them out. Next, go to the Beamos and shoot the red-eye out with an Arrow. With this done, pull the Beamos out of the way. This will reveal a passage to the upper level of this room. There are more Archers here to target. Instead of targeting them, target the explosive barrels. This will give more easier defeats. Go to the switch and hit it. The crane will be activated, From there, drop to the next platform. Put on the Iron Boots, and let the crane take you up. Take out your bow, and target the ropes on the drawbridge. Once that is done, and you are clearly, in position to land on the drawbridge, do so. The room before the boss will contain some more enemies. Quickly defeat them, and knock down the drawbridge. Go straight to the Boss Room. Boss: Fyrus: The weakness on this flame boss will be the eye on the forhead. Midna will point that out to you. Target the eye with and shoot it with your Arrows. Once you have a direct hit, go around him, and put on the Iron Boots, and grab the chain. Pull the chain until the beast falls. Take off the boots and hit the eye using the Sword. After three quality strikes, Fyrus will get back up for another round. Continue this process until you have defeated this creature. Congradulations, you have defeated Fyrus, and collected the second Fused Shadow piece. Collect the Heart Container, and listen to Midna about the enemy of the game. ---------------------- 2.10. Lanayru Province ---------------------- When you return to Kakariko Village, go into Barnes Bomb Shop. You will get the option to get a Bomb Bag with 30 Bombs for 120 Rupees. Take the offer. WHile you are still in town, talk to Malo. Take on his challenge and get a Heart Piece. The trick is to not use the Hawkeye, which is in his shop. After making the purchases you need in Kakariko Village, get on Epona and leave town. Go north through Hyrule Field, and go across the bridge. The bridge will break apart and go to another area in Hyrule, while three more creatures from the Twilight Realm will enter the picture. Defat them like you did the others, at the same time, using the Spin attack. Go up the black wall and enter it with Midna to become a wolf again. Go up until you find Ilia's bag. Sniff it and forget the scent of the children to remember hers. Follow the scent, while defeating enemies along the way. When you are in Hyrule Castle Town, ignore all the people that are there, continue going to the scent. You will be taken to Telma's Bar, where Ilia will be caring for a sick Zora child. Listen to the soldiers that are close by. They will mention that something is not right with Lakw Hylia. Look at the map to see where you need to go. Exit the town and make your way east (west on GameCube). While you are crossing the bridge, you will be ambushed by an enemy who will light the bridge. Quickly us the box to the right (left on GameCube), and jump off the bridge. Once you have recovered from the fall, listen to what the Zora soldiers are saying to each other, then go to the Fyer and listen to what he is saying. The Fyer will notice the monster that is at the edge of the lake. Go towards the monster, where an enemy will get on it to gain controls. You will need to defeat the enemy on the monster bird right quickly. Do this by dodging the flaming arrows, and when an attempt to grab you comes, press A continually to inflict as much damage as possible. After defeating the creature on top of the bird, Midna will take control of the bird. You can now make it to where the Zora people live. While on your way there, you will need to dodge the flaming arrows, and the falling rocks. Also, do not crash into the scaffolding. Once you reach the base of Zora's Domain, you will notice that it is frozen over. Go up the frozen waterfall with the help of Midna to jump repeatingly from ledge to ledge. When you see falling icicles, let them fall before proceeding. After you make it to the Throne room of Zora's Domain, you will fight three more Shadow Creatures. Defeat the single one first, because he will raise the other two up after defeat them if you don't take him out first. After that is done, then defeat the remaining two at the same time with your multiple enemy attack. Take a good look below the ice. Notice that the Zoras are frozen in the ice. This will remind you off Ocarina of Time, because when you are an adult in the game, they are frozen in ice as well. Anyway, use Midna to warp to Death Mountain. There is a rock there that will melt the ice. Once there, go to the huge rock which you seen fall earlier. Use Midna to warp it to Zora's Domain. This will melt the ice and free the Zora people, and get access to the final Spirit. Go back to Lake Hylia, via the water path you reopened. After going back to Lake Hylia, you will need to go to the Spirit Spring. Talk to Lanayru, who will give you access to the final sixteen bugs. Here are the final 15 of 16 bugs. The 16th bug will be explained immediately after the locations of the 15: 1. Exit the Sprign Spirit. After crossing the wooden bridge to the right (left on GameCube), and activate the sense mode to spot him. 2. Go across to the circular island, and encounter three more Shadow Beasts. After defeating them, go to the Fyer's Shack, where the bug is flying near the back of the shack itself. Avoid the bug's attack, and counter with yor own. 3. Go south of the round island via a series of disconnecting islands. use the Dash Jumps to make sure that you clear the gaps. landing in the water will result in you needing to the wooden bridge island. After making it to high ground, dig out the insect, and defeat it. 4. Make your way to the western (eastern on GameCube) edge of Lake Hylia, and the fourth Shadow Bug will be located there. After defeating the bug, howl next to the fanlike plant to get that monster bird to appear. 5. Located in the cavern. If you missing any bugs in here, repeat go back to Lake Hylia, and repeat this again to get the remaining bugs. 6. Same as #5. 7. Same as #5. 8. Same as #5. 9. Listen to the spirit that is next to the boat rental cabin, and a bug will appear. Defeat it, then go next to the Howling Stone. 10. Take the path that is next to the river in order to re-enter Zora's Domain. This bug will be located next to the center of the pool. 11. Same as #10. 12. On the western (eastern on GameCube) shore of the pool. You might need to dig this one up. 13. With Midna's help, jump from ledge to ledge in order to climb up the cavern wall. Partway up, you should notice a path that is leading south. This bug will be there. Midna will not help with the jump there, so you will need to make it on your own. 14. On the wall of the Throne room. Ram the wall, then defeat it after you get it off the wall. 15. Make your way back down Zora's Domain, and take the southeast (southwest on GameCube) flowing river. This will get you back to Hyrule Field. Go to the entrance of Hyrule Castle Town, and defeat three more Shadow bugs. Go to Telma's Bar, and defeat it just outside the bar itself. The final bug will now appear on the map back at Lake Hylia. Travel there using the warp. 16. This bug will be the biggest one you will face. Like the smaller bugs, this one will have an electrical charge. Dodge the swooping charge attacks it has, and defeat it with the Jump attack after the electricity is gone. This will hurt the boss of the bugs. After you have damaged the giant bug, it will submerge and swim in the water. This is the call to stay on land. The only time to go into the water is to dodge an attack. After several hits, the bug boss will fall in the water on its back. Jump onto the creatures belly, and hit it with the multienemy attack. This will hit all weak points at the same time. After you defeat this boss, light will now be returned to all of Hyrule. You will need to go back to Hyrule Castle Town. Go talk to the Fyer and try his attraction, the cannon. You will be sent to the top of the land. If you want to try to play Falbi's Minigame, then you can, other then that, you will need to go to Hyrule Castle Town. Before entering Hyrule Castle Town, if you managed to get the Howling Stone in Zora's Domain, then you will learn a new move. If not, then you will need to wait until later in the game to get it. In the meantime, the move you will learn from the warrior is the Back Slice. If you want to learn more about the move, look at the Howling Stones section. In the southeast (southwest on GameCube) section of Castle Town's courtyard will be the a Goron shop. They all have different items to sell to you, including the Hylian Shield. If you never got this item in Kakariko Village, then get it from the big Goron now. Go to Telma's Bar and try to talk to Ilia. She will be different because she has no memory of anything at this point of the game. Telma, and Ilia will try to get the Zora boy to Kakariko Village. Since you now have Epona, you can ride her along with Telma, and Ilia riding in the wagon. Remember the boar enemy that captured Colin earlier? Well, he is back with a shields this time. CHarge him like last time, but make sure that you use the Arrows instead of your sword. This will knock the boar over the bridge yet again, and you will now have access to the other side of the bridge with the wagon. Enemy archers, some flyers, and flying beasts will try to stop the wagon at all costs. Stay close to the wagon, and fend off most of the enemies either by sword or by bow. Use the bow on all the enemies that are on the hill. You should have no problem taking them out if you aim it right, or have the Hawkeye. If the wagon is on fire, make sure that you lock on the Gale Boomerang, and throw it at the wagon. This will stop the fire, and prevent damage to the Zora, Ilia, and Telma. The flying enemies will try to knock the wagon off course by dropping bombs near it. Try to eliminate these birds using the bow, or the Gale Boomerang to take them down as well. Once you have made it to Kakariko Village with the Wagon, Ilia, Telma, and the Zora boy, you will see a vision of the Zora boy's mother, Rutela, will appear. Follow the spirit to the graveyard, and go through the opening. Once you are at her husbands grave, you will recieve the Zora Armor. This will give you the ability to breath underwater. This is also a requirment in order to finish the Lakebed Temple. Go back to Kakariko Village and purchase some Water Bombs. Your next destination will be Lake Hylia. Use the Water Bombs to use a shortcut to get to Lake Hylia. Once you make it to Lake Hylia, you will need to open the entrance to the Lakebed Temple. This is where the Water Bombs come in handy. If you do not have some, there are some Zora people that will sell you some nearby. The first bomb should be in front of the entrance, this way when it explodes it will release an opening that bubbles can come out of. The next Water Bomb will be on that spot. The bomb will carry upwards, and explode to give you a way into Lakebed Temple. -------------------- 2.11. Lakebed Temple -------------------- The gate that is at the top of the stairs will be shut tight. It can be opened by jumping off from the ledge and grabbing the lever. You will be pulled downward, while the door will be going in the opposite direction. This will happen during many times in this temple. When you enter the next room, you will notice that a way across is needed. Take out some Bomb Arrows and fire them at the thin necks of the stalactites which are hanging from the ceiling. The result will create new platforms that will be able to get you across the chamber. While you are making your way to the door, you will come across some Helmasaurs. If you learned the Back Slice, then you can use that you defeat them. If you never learned it, then you will need to dodge the charge, and hit them from behind. Their weakness is their back. Upon entering the next room, you should notice that the stairs can be turned by pulling on some levers. This will get you to parts of the temple that are otherwise inaccessable. In order to get the Dungeon Map, simply go down the stairs and circle around to the south area of this room. Next, jump from the ledge, and grab the lever in order to rotate the staircase. After that, go back up the stairs and grab the lever that is on the east (west on GameCube) side. Go down the stairs and take a right (left on GameCube) turn. You now have the Dungeon Map. Take the lower western (eastern on GameCube) exit, and go across the bridge. Once you entered the next room, take down the stalactites using Bomb Arrows. Go down the right (left on GameCube) passage. Climb around the central pillar by using the vines, then drop down to the western (eastern on GameCube) ledge. If you managed to knock out the farthest Salactites, then the broken tip will become a platform which is on a geyser. Jump from ledge to ledge straight to the pillar. From the pillar, jump to the next platform and open the chest. You will now have a Small Key. Go back to the circular room, and make your way up to the upper western (eastern on GameCube) room. Ooccoo can be seen on the door's left. Open the door using the Small key, and go across the bridge. to the next room. Use a Bomb Arrow to get rid of the Stalactite that is near the northern wall. This will create a step allowing you to reach the vines, and climb to the top of the wall. Once you are at the top of the wall. jump and grab the lever. This will cause the gate that is below you to open. Continue going through the chamber and go through the first door south. Upon entering the next room, be cautious. There is a Lizalfos in this room, near a giant cog. Defeat it, and then go to the southern exit. Go left (right on GameCube) and open the chest to get a Small Key. Go back into the Cog room, and turn left (right on GameCube). Use a Bomb to destroy the boulder. Go down the hall and enter the next room. You are now going to enter a fight with an enemy in a bubble. To defeat it, destroy the bubble using a Bomb Arrow, or a Bomb either will do the trick. Once the bubble is gone, attack the enemy directly. After defeating the enemy, use the Small key and enter the next room. Go to the top of the western (eastern on GameCube) tower by taking the spiraling ramp. When you are at the top, climb the archway and jump to the lever in order to open the sluice. This will release the water. Follow the water straight to the bottom of the room. Now that the water has been lowered, you can now swim over to the large fish statue, and grab the hanging lever. This will open another sluice. Follow the water back to the room where you found the last Small key. Before entering the room with the cog, there is a Fairy that is in the area of water past the waterwheel. Go to the lower level of the next room, and go to the east(west on GameCube) door. From there, jump to the moving platform, then go to the north-leading door. Get the Small key that is to the left (right on GameCube), and return to the previous room with the moving platforms. Ride a platform straight to the western (eastern on GameCube) door. Once you are in the next room, use a Small key in order to unlock the door to your left (right on GameCube). Make sure that you equipped the Iron Boots in the next room and enter the water-filled passage. You cannot hurt the jellyfish at the point, so you are better off avoiding them. If you want to collect some extra-rupees, then go for it. If not, go next to the boulder, and blw it up using a Water Bomb. In the next room, do what Midna suggests, and look at the ceiling. This will get you into a mini-boss fight. The mini-boss is a Gigantic Frog, which will start off by sending a swarm of tadpoles after you. Defeat them by using the Spin Attack. This will kill several of them at the same time. After taking care of them, the frog will leap into the air and try to squash you. Run away and avoid the impact, and slice the tongue once it is stuck out. Once the frog opens it's mouth, fire either a Bomb, or a Bomb Arrow inside so that you can get access to the tongue. Once the tongue is opened up, stike it with your sword. Keep doing this until it is defeated. After defeating the Gigantic Frog, you will get the Clawshot. In order to escape this room, use the Clawshot on the red switch that is above the doorway. Go back to the central round room, and with the Clawshot, you are able to grapple on the vines that will allow you to get past the barriers and manuver around the chamber with freedom. Go down to the lower eastern (western on GameCube) side of the room, and hit the red switch using the Clawshot. This will rotate the steps, and have the water flow through the eastern (western on GameCube) door. Enter the room with the chained platforms, and grapple on the gold and red target that is on the left (right on GameCube) side of the near cog. Drop down to the Pillar, and get the Bombs that are in the chest. Grapple to the vines that are on the northern wall, then climb then, and grapple to the vines that are on the upper northern wall. After that, drop down to the ledge and enter the northern door into the next room. You will need to knock down the Stalactite that is above the geyser. Do this using a Bomb Arrow like before. Get on the newly created platform, and ride it to the top of the wall, and jump down and grapple onto the ledge. Take out the Clawshot, and use it to grapple onto the vines on the ceiling and bypass the barrier. Drop down to the floor, and like in the western (eastern on GameCube) tower, start ascending the spiraling path, and pull the lever that is at the top in order to get the water flowing. While on your way to the top, there will be large gaps which will implede your journey up the the passage. You will need to use well-timed grapples in order to make it across. Once you are at the top. use the Clawshot to grapple to a chest, and get the Compass before you proceed back to activating the water. Now activate the water for this tower. Now that you have the water flowing in the eastern (western on GameCube) tower, you can now get some extra treasures before you get ready to complete the remainder of the dungeon. Take the right (left on GameCube) door of the tower, you can obtain some Bombs that are beyond the waterwheel. Opting for the left (right on GameCube) door will be able to dive into the pool and get 20 Rupees. On the other of the pool, go underneath the waterwheel, and into the cog room. Go across the cogs to the southwest (southeast on GameCube) door. You will get more Rupees. You can also grapple to the circular gate, and go back to the circular room. The easiest way to make it through the easternmost (westernmost on GameCube) chambers, is by going back to the central room through the left (right on GameCube) passage, from the eastern (western on GameCube) tower, and go back into the room that has the dual cogs. Use the Clawshot to latch on the near cog, and then drop onto the pillar. that is in the middle of the room. From that pillar, grapple onto the second cog, and drop off once you reach the eastern (western on GameCube) door. Enter the next room, and go into the water, and find a boulder near the middle of the area. Take it out using a Water Bomb, and go through the new passage you created. Put on the Iron Boots, and fall straight to the floor of the water. Take out another boulder in the southeast (southwest on GameCube) corner of the room. Go through the tunnel, and go up to the surface through the door. Once you use the Clawshot on the switch in the ceiling. This will open a hole in the floor. Lower yourself through the hole and get the Big Key that is in the chest. After that, jump into the water, and go back to the exit, then go back to the central room. From the central room, you can go down into the Boss Room. Boss: Morpheel: Drop to the bottom of the boss room with the Iron Boots. You now have to take on Morpheel. The weakness on this boss is the eyeball that is in the tenticles. Stay away from the boss as much as possible, but stay within range of the Clawshot. Grapple out the eye by Z-targeting it on Wii, or L-targeting it on GameCube. Once it is out, strike it with your sword. If you get caught by a tenticle, quickly take off the Iron Boots, or you will end up as Morpheel food. After striking the eyeball from the tenticle a few times, Morpheel will show its true form. Unequipped the Iron Boots at this point and start swimming. Try to position yourself above the bosses head, while staying away from the mouth. If you are being sucked into the mouth, quicky equipped the Iron Boots. This will make sure that you do not become food. Once you are in range, target the eye with Z-target, or L-target, and hit it with the Clawshot. Do this right, and you will be pulled towards the eye. Hit the eye with your sword. Continue this process until you have defeated Morpheel. Congradulations. You have defeated Morpheel, and earned the final fused shadow piece. Collect the Heart Container and exit this temple. ------------------------ 2.12. Hyrule Castle Town ------------------------ Now that you have saved Hyrule at this point, you will need to be prepared for some drama. Zant will appear at the Spirit Spring, where you will be transformed into a wolf, and Midna is now weak and dying. At this point, you will need to go see Zelda again. Go to Telma's bar, where you wil get kicked out for being a wolf. This will get the attention of the cat. Louise, the cat, will come out and help you get you through a window opening of Telma's bar. Now inside Telma's bar, you will need to do some tightrope walking. Once you are prompted, listen to the conversations. Some of the pots are in the way of the ropes as well. Move them, but do not let them fall, or you will need to start over. When you make it to the entrance of the waterway, you will meet Jovani, who is a shell at this point. Jovani will ask you to defeat a Poe, and in return will grant you access to the waterway. Jovani will also ask you to help find the remaining Poe souls, and free him from his curse. Now that you are in the waterway, you will begin at the hub. Walk around the ledge, and take care of the rats. Pull a chain and give yourself access to the north. After floating to the castle basement, you will come up against a pair of spiders. Use a flaming Deku Stick to burn the web. There is another web along the way while you are exploring the underground. Light soem torches to make sure that you have a source of fire when needed. Once you reach the dead end, engage the senses. This will give you access to the next area. You have been in this place before, climbing a tower with Midna, but this time is different. Midna will not be of any assistance at this point in the game, thanks to Zant. While climbing, target the enemies, and defeat them. Use ropes to get across the wide gaps. Continue this process until you make it out. Once outside, you will have to deal with the strong winds. When a wind is strong enough to make a broken bridge span across a gap, thenrun across the bridge quickly. After that, jump from a wooden platform, straight to the roof's peak, and then to the narrow path. Go straight to Zelda's tower, and talk to Zelda. You will see a cutscene that will see Zelda sacrifice herself to help yourself and Midna. ------------------------ 2.13. Faron Woods Part 2 ------------------------ After you reach the area that is near the Forest Temple, you will see a monkey (which you helped out earlier), in distress yet again. The monkey is surrounded by enemies that are near the Forest Temple, but happened to chase the monkey to Faron Woods. Defeat them with ease, and learn about a new section to explore within Faron Woods. This section is located on the other side of the cliff. Climb up on top of the stump to the east (west on GameCube), and allow Midna to guide you to an area that is on the other side of the cliff. You will end up hopping across some wide gaps, and cross some bridges as well as some ropes in order to get to the area you need to get to. After getting across some of the gaps with Midna's help, some Keese will arrive. You will need to fend them off, and make it to the section with the two rotating bridges. Upon reaching the the rotating bridges make sure that they are facing east-west. Once this is done, exit to the east (west on GameCube). Avoid the swinging logs that come while you are walking on the tightropes. When you make it between the two tightropes, let the other log swing by. Once you get the chance to, move to the next area. Before going into the Sacred Grove, make sure that you get the Howling Stone. This one will send the wolf to the south exit of Hyrule Castle Town. ------------------ 2.14. Sacred Grove ------------------ You will see another Howling Stone while on the way to the Grove. Play the song, and instead of getting another Golden Wolf, you will get a Skull Kid, as well as the same henchmen that you seen earlier with the monkey. Using Midna's Dark Energy, defeat the henchmen, then follow the Skull Kid. You will travelling within the maze, while the Skull Kid starts having fun with you. Defeat the Henchmen, and bite the Skull Kid. A new part of the maze will be opened up. Chase after the Skull Kid. After a few times, you will be placed into an arena. The result will be that you will be in a fight with the leader as well as the skeleton henchmen. Fight off the henchmen, and while he is calling for more, make sure that you get your attack in then. Every successful hit means more skeletons will come. Eventually, the Skull Kid will get tired and you will be into a new section. When you are at the entrance of the Sacred Grove, notice that there are two giant statues within a maze. Howl from a symbol in order to make these statues come to life. In turn, you will be asked to lead them to their sentry posts. Do this by hopping on the blocks in a certain order. The order is left, down, right, right, up, left, up, up, left, down, down, right, and up on the Wii. The GameCube order is right, down, left, left, up, right, up, up, right, down, down, left, and up. Once you have done this correctly, you can retrieve the prize that you need in order to become Link again, the Master Sword. Warp out of there and go to the bridge that will lead to Hyrule Castle Town. You will recieve a letter from Telma to go to her bar. Proceed straight to the bar, and talk to Telma. She will tell you about the group that is there called the Adventurer's Guild. Go talk to the group. Starting from left to right on the Wii, you will have Shad, Ashei, and your old friend Rusl. The one missing from the group is Auru. He is at Lake Hylia checking out the situation on Gerudo Desert. Look at the map that is on the table for his location. Before going to Lake Hylia, make a detour straight out the south end of Hyrule Castle Town. The golden wolf will be there if you played the Howling Stone at the Sacred Grove. You will learn the fourth manuver, the Helm Splitter. Before leaving for Lake Hylia, go to the Goron Shop and stock up on supplies. This will be the last chance you have for awhile. Warp to Lake Hylia, and transform back into human form. Go straight to the tower that Auru is located to, and talk to him. He will tell to about the Desert and the Mirror of Twilight, which you have had mention about already. After talking to him, you will recieve a letter from him. Before taking it to the Fyer, go to the Howling Stone located between the tower Auru is current on, and Fyer's hut. The Golden Wolf will be located at Gerudo Desert. Go to Fyer and pass him the letter from Auru. You know have a new flight path opened. This one will be free, but the next time you will need to pay to go there. ------------------- 2.15. Gerudo Desert ------------------- Now that you have made it to the desert, you can now go straight to the Gerudo Mesa, and then to the Arbiter's Grounds. Hear about Midna's story as she mentions about her tribe, and how she is a descentant of that tribe that was sealed away using the Mirror of Twilight. After that, you will need to go to the northeast (northwest on GameCube) corner of the desert. Before that, however, you will need to make it to the southeast (southwest on GameCube) corner. Upon making it to the southeast (southwest on GameCube) corner, you will discover the missing Bridge of Eldin at the top of a man-made cliff. After defeating the twilight beings, and making a new warp place, bring the Bridge of Eldin back to where it originally was located. Warp back there. Do not go into the cave yet. You are not prepared for the Cave of Ordeals at this time. After going through all of the dungeons, you can then enter and take the challenge. In the meantime, time to head to the Gerudo Mesa. When you approach the building that is loacted to the northeast (northwest on GameCube), there will be a couple of boars that will charge at you. If you have the Hawk-eye, you can shoot the riders off the boars, and get on one. Another way to defeat them is the Spin attack. This will knock the boar down for a moment, allowing you to defeat the enemies that are on them. After climbing onto one of the boars, you can ride is like you were riding Epona, but a bit rougher. When you make the Boar go faster, you will need to hang on tight. You will have ten seconds to control the speed, and crash through the fence to the theives hangout entrance. This will also be a good time to collect a good amount of Rupees. Continue going north via foot and straight to the next area. Make sure that you get the Golden Wolf, and learn about the Mortal Draw. This will be effective during this temple, like the Helm Splitter. Keep going until you reach the base of the thieves. Take out the archers using an Arrow, and run inside the gate. Go east (west on GameCube) and continue fighting all the enemies here. Lock onto the enemies and use the Spin Attack to eliminate them. While you are in the camp, keep using arrows on the enemies in order to defeat them. If they manage to spot you, they will attack you in numbers. Make sure that you make short work of them, and eliminate the ones that are on the tower. Zigzag east (west on GameCube) and defeat the enemy that is roasting a boar. This will give you a Small Key. Take out the fire that is under the boar, and then take care of the boar. This will give you another Heart Piece. Go to the middle of the camp. You once again will need to take on the leader of the tribe. This time, there are no bridges, or boars involved, other then the one that is in the room. He will have a big axe, and looks like he is trying to intimidate you. Don't let that worry you, because he is slow. Move around fast, and take care of him. After the fight, he will leave, and the place will catch on fire. Quickly hop onto the boar, and continue crashing through all the gates. You will be on the Arbiter's Grounds, but before entering take out the Poe Soul that is to the east (west on GameCube) of the entrance. ----------------------- 2.16. Arbiter's Grounds ----------------------- The floor in many areas of this dungeon is made of quicksand. This means that you are not able to stay onto the floor for very long. Fire off the Clawshot on the east (west on GameCube) wall. This will help you float over some of the sand. Clawshot onto the next one as well, and again the next one until you make it to the other side of the room. Roll over the sand to the floor at the north end of the room, then roll southwest (southeast on GameCube) past the gate. There is a chain that is located next to the wall. Use the Clawshot to get it on land, then pull it to open the gate. Enter the next room. Go north in this room and make a turn to the east (west on GameCube). Break the wooden barrier, and go to the chest. Open the chest and get the Small Key. Upon getting it, there will be bugs coming at you. When they are on you, you will be slowed down. Use your Spin Attack to take care of them. Go to the west (east on GameCube) side of the room, and if needed, dip your Lantern in the oil. You will need it in the next room. Enter the next room, and equipped your Lantern. There are two torches in this room that have no light. You will need to light them in order to make it into the next room. The problem is that there are also mini soldiers in this room. Use the Lantern to spot them, and take them out using the Spin Attack. After defeating them, make your way to the torches and light them. The next room will feature something you have seen in the Forest Temple of Ocarina of Time. Four blue lights (I am aware that the ones in Ocarina of Time are multi-colored) will be swept away by four Poes. Three of these Poes will take off, while one of them will remain. Turn into Wolf form and immediately use your senses. You will now have to fight the remaining Poe. Attack it by jumping at it to latch on when it becomes solid, then attack, with A. After doing this twice, the Poe will fall. Take the soul. The light will return to the pedestal. Sniff the corpse to get the scent of the Poe. Before chasing them, go to the west (east on GameCube) side of the room beside the stairs, and open the chest. You will get a Heart Piece. Clawshot back to the regular ground. The chest on the east (west on GameCube) will contain the Dungeon Map. Now that you have the Poe scent, follow the scent straight to a patch of sand. Dig there, and you will reveal a chain. Pull the chain in order to get the stairs to go down. Go down the stairs to find the scent went through the door. Open the door, and enter the next room. Take a close look at the pillar in this room. There is an appendage that is sticking out. Pushing it will make the pillar turn, as well as the room. This will reveal an alcove with enemies in it, as well as a chest. Defeat the enemies, and quickly turn your attention to the ReDead Knight. If you are in wolf form, then attack it like you did the Poe. In human form, hit it from a distance using Bomb Arrows. Open the chest to get a Small Key. From the Alcove, look into the ceiling from the hole you opened up. Use the Clawshot to get up onto the next floor. Enter the next room. The next room will feature a number of blue lights. Turn to the right (left on GameCube) side of the room and reveal the Poe with your senses. Defeat it like you did the previous Poe. You now have the second light uncovered. Go back to the basement room with the pillar in it, and turn the pillar. Go back into the room with the Blue light in it, and see the second one go back to it's pedestal. Engage your scenes and follow the third scent into the room above the room you just came from. Go past the pillar and use the key to enter the next room. Go across the north end of the room, and straight to the room that is on the west (east on GameCube) side. The next room will have quicksand around the floor. You will need to move slowly, because there are spikes that will come up from the floor. Look at the cage that is at the north end of the room. Pull east (west on GameCube) so that it can fall into place, then push it north to place it in between the two walls. Go up the stairs, and hop right over the wall that is to the west (east on GameCube). Go to the chain and pull it back while using the cage you recently place there. This will raise the chandelier. Once it is fully raised, you will need to quickly run under it before it falls back to the ground. Go up the stairs, and go past the pillar. Open the chest to recieve the Compass, and go back to the pillar. From the pillar, push the part that is next to it. This will reveal passages to both the east and west. Take the west (east on GameCube) path, and break through the barrier. Take out the ReDead Knight, and get the Small Key in the chest. Now take the east (west on GameCube) path and enter the next room. Transform into the wolf, and fight all the small soldiers and the two DeDead Knights. After defeating them, put on your scenses and follow it. Dig away the dirt, and pull the chain. This will reveal the location of the third Poe spirit. Defeat it like the others. Go north into the next room. Upon entering the circular room, go straight to the chest to the south of the room. This will give you a small key. Engage the senses after doing this. There are now some rats that will attach to you. Use the Dark Energy attack that Midna has in order to defeat them. After defeating all the rats, go into the next room, which will look familiar. You will now be in the room you origionally were in with the four lights. The third one will return meaning one more to go. Use the senses to see where the next Poe leads to. Follow it through the second floor door on the east (west on GameCube) side of the room. Go down the stairs, and push the cage until you can get it into a position you need to have it in. Defeat the enemies that jump at you, and get to the chain. Like you did earlier, pull the chain so that you can get the chandelier up to its maximum point. This will be crucial in getting to the chest, and the 100 Rupees inside. Use the Clawshot and go back to the chain that you just pulled and pull it again. This time, go in the middle of the chandelier before it drops, so that when it does drop you will be in the middle of it. Climb the chandelier and enter the next room to the east (west on GameCube) The next room will feature a Stalfos to defeat. Like in the Wind Waker, they will regenerate, so place a Bomb next to it. This will make it explode, allowing you to enter the next room. Before doing that, get all the chests that are in this room. For the next room, you will need to be particular about your selection of torches. For starters, you can only light two torches. Lighting the wrong ones will result in small skeletons coming out of the grouns to attack you. Light the torch that is in the center of the room. For the Wii version of the game, light the west torch. GameCube version will be the east torch. This will give you access to the next room. This will be the final showdown with the Poes. Remember in Ocarina of Time, the last Poe in the Forest Temple split. This one will do the same. To determine the right one, just look at the brightest one. That will be the one to target and attack. After defeating it, and stealing its soul, go back to the main room via the north door. You will now have a passageway to the north. Look for the shaft that is in the first floor of the northwest (northeast on GameCube) section of the first floor. Drop down from there to the platform. Push the shaft counterclockwise on two rotations. This will make the platform rise to a path with a chest. Open the chest to get a Small Key. Go back to the shaft and push it clockwise all the way to the bottom. Go to the door and open it up. The next room will be a tough one to deal with. You will have invisible rats, a ReDead Knight, quicksand, and spikes coming through the floor. The best way to deal with this room is by going into wolf form. That way, the spikes that appear will still be seen when you have your senses on. Plus, it will help get rid of the invisible rats. Take out all the rats that are in the room, as well as the ReDead Knight while you are determining the path. After you have defeated them all, go straight to the chain that is on the west (east on GameCube) side of the room. Pull it to move the block. While you have your senses activated, you will be able to take a quick path to it. Dashing here will help get past the stone block as well. Turn back into human form for this part. Defeat all the swarms of bugs in this room by using your spin attack. Take a close look in the round chamber. Notice the spinning spiked pole in the middle, and the closed-off gate on the west (east on GameCube) side of the chamber. You will need to get to the north side of the room, and defeat three Stalfos in order to lower the gate. To do this, go into the direction of the spiked pole, into the first safe spot, and then again into the north safe spot. The next room is where the Stalfos are located. There are three of them in this room. The first two are together, so take them out with Mortal Draw, and use a Bomb on them both. The third one will be located across the sand. Ooccoo will also be there in the pots. Defeat the Stalfos, and free Ooccoo to get the ability to warp out of the temple. The gate will now be down. Go back to the circular room, and once again go with the flow of the spiked pole. While on your way to the north door, look out for the spinners that are attached to the wall. They will hurt you. Go into the next room. Be prepared for a fight. There is a sword in the middle of the room. Cut a rope with your sword to go into a mini-boss fight. Immediately turn into wolf form and use your senses. You will spot the inviible swordsman. Attack the swordsman while in wolf form. This will make him visible. Turn back into human form right away, and take out yout Arrows. If you are a good shot, then shoot him when you get the chance. If not, then wait until he stops, and shoot an Arrow at him. The enemy will come down to the ground. Hit him with your sword to knock him off his feet, and hit him with more blows straight to the head. Repeat this process until he is defeated. You will get the Spinner for defeating him. The Spinner will be a key in order to get the next Heart Piece. Return to the previous room, and use the Spinner to get to the room that is to the east (west on GameCube) of the one you just came from. Use the spinner in order to get to the two treasure chests that are shown by the Compass. After that, use the Spinner to catch the track, and ride it on the right (left on GameCube) wall in order to reach the chest that hold this Heart Piece. Defeat the Stalfos after getting this chest. Still in the same room, from the chest, catch the track behind it, and ride it along the north wall while getting past the rotating spiked stick. Now, hop along from track to track to make your way to the northern part of the room. Upon getting to the northern section of the room, stop spinning by hitting the button you set the spinner to, and align yourself up to the next tracks. Follow the next tracks straight to the northeast (northwest on GameCube corner) The final tracks for this room will be placed here. There are spinners with spikes on them going up and down the tracks. You will need to get past them in order to get to the chest. This is no easy trick, but make sure that you get past the closest spinning on, then jump to the other side to avoid the one on the other side of it. This will make sure that you can stop it. Upon getting to the northwest (northeast on GameCube) corner, you can open the chest. This will give you the Big Key. There is a gear-shaped hole in the floor of the next room. Place the Spinner in it, and press the Spin button in order to start spinning. This will spin the room, giving you access to the northern shaft. Go into the next room. Take a ride all the way to the top using the Spinner and break the skull on the ground. One of them will make a Fairy appear. If you have an empty bottle to put it in, then do so. If not, then use it for health. the middle of the room will be the next place to go. Ride the track down far enough so that you can jump to the piece that is just sticking out. After making it on the pedestal, then use the spinner in the middle of it. This will make a track that leadfs straight to the boss. There is a cutscene that will show Zant appear. Zant will be kind enough to activate the boss for you. Boss: Stallord: This is a two part fight. The first part will have you fighting Stallord with his body intact. The weakness on this form will be the spine. Use the Spinner on the track and get behind the Stallord, then let go to attack the spine using the Spinner. Press B on the Wii, and A on the GameCube to activate the attack the Spinner can do. Each time you hit it, more enemies will fill the room, and block your way to the spine. You will need to take care of them as well if they are in the way. After the second hit, some skeletons will block the way to the spine. Defeat them with the Spinner just enough to gain access to the spine. After the third hit, part one will be completed. Place the spinner in the middle, and raise the pillar in the middle of the arena. Time for round two. This time you will just be facing the skull of Stallord. Use the Spinner to start spinning on the inside of the room, and wait until Stallord appear. He will spit some fire at you. Jump from track to track to avoid it and when he is next to you, jump at him. This will knock Stallord to the floor. Hit the sword that Zant placed to reanimate Stallord. Keep this up until you have defeated Stallord. Congradulations, you have defeated Stallord, collect the Heart Container, and continue with the little bit left in this temple. Climb to the top of the building and find the Mirror Chamber at the top of this temple. After getting to the base, some Shadow Creatures will appear. To defeat them in human form, use your Spin Attack. In wolf form, use Midna's Dark Energy attack to eliminte them. After defeating the Shadow Beasts, use the Spinner to get to the top of the Mirror Chamber. There will be a scene that shows the mirror broke, and the announcement of the real enemy, Ganondorf. ------------------- 2.17. Peak Province ------------------- Warp out from the Arbiter's Grounds and straight to the front of Hyrule Castle Town. Go to Telma's Bar, and get information about the whereabouts of Ashei. You can talk to Rusl, Auru, and Shad about the latest that they have gathered for information as well. Go to the map, and see Ashei is Zora's Domain. Warp to Zora's Domain and find Ashei. Talk to her and she will give you a drawing of a Yeti, and a Reekfish. Talk to the Zoras that are outside the Domain. They will tell you about Prince Ralis and his knowledge of the fish. Go to Kakariko Village, and talk to Beth. She will tell you that Prince Ralis is in the graveyard. Go there to find Prince Ralis next to the graveyard of this parents. Show him the sketch of the reekfish. He will give you his coral earring, which resembles a fishhook. Prince Ralis also gives you the location of the Reekfish. They are located at the basin below the waterfall in Zora's Domain, and they swim close to the mother-and-child rocks. These are two formations that jut out from the water, and onr is bigger then the other. Go to that location and catch one. Upon catching one, turn into a wolf and get the scent. The trail will take you into the Peak Province itself. You will now go beyond where you met up with Ashei moments ago. Stay in wolf form, because you are now able to stay on the reekfish scent, and remain warm from the cold. Make sure that you jump on the icebergs, and do not fall into the water. Be careful for the White Wolfos while you are making your way up the snowy mountain. They will appear and dissappear really quick. Also, when you make it to a cliff and has been topped by a snowbank, make sure that you run into the cliff. This will make sure that the snow falls, and allows you to form a passage straight to the top. There is a Howling Stone in this area. Make sure that you find it and howl. The move you learn from the warrior will be needed at Snowpeak Ruins. When you get to the wall, dig under it and enter the cave. Go back into human form, and climb a ladder, followed by a vine. After exiting the cave, go back into wolf form and follow the scent until you go get into a fight with more shadow beings. Defeat them, but before turning into human and talking to the Yeti, find the Golden Wolf. He will be located at the Kakariko Village Graveyard. You will learn the Jump Strike. Now go talk to Yeti. Yeto, the yeti, will talk to you about the mirror shard. He will also invite you into his home, which is the next dungeon. He will also slide away on a frozen leaf. Ram into the tree, and get on another leaf. Chase after him. Make sure that you clear a way by using your sword. Once you get to the mansion, enter it. -------------------- 2.18. Snowpeak Ruins -------------------- Go into the next room from the entrance, and talk to the sick Yeta. She will give you the map and what she believes is the locations of the Big Key. Go into the west (east on GameCube) room and talk to Yeto. He is making a soup for Yeta, but is missing some ingredients. Do not try this soup because it will do one of two things. You will either gain, or lose two hearts. Go south of this room and talk lift one of the pots to get Ooccoo available for this temple. Go north into the next room. You will need to slide the one of the blocks onto the switch in order to gain access to the next room. To do this, push the closest block west (east on GameCube), then the next block south, and west (east on GameCube). Once it is aligned properly, push it south. You know have access to the next room. Go into the room on the east (west on GameCube) and look for the crack that is in the wall. Go into wolf form and dig into the next room. This will take you to the courtyard. There are White Wolfos in this room, so dispose of them before continuing on in this room. Open the chest that contains some Rupees, and begin to dig up a chest which is buried in the snow. Make sure that you use your senses to dig it up. Open the chest to get a Small Key. Go through the door on the west (east on GameCube) side, and go north the that door. There will be Mini Freezards in this room, and of course, they will freeze you on contact if you touch them. Use your Clawshot to push them, and when they are in close range, take care of them using your sword. This will give you a way out of this room to the west (east on GameCube) door. Notice the chest behind the door in the next room. You will need to defeat two Icy Skeletons in order to get the contents inside. In order to defeat them, you will need to use the Jump Strike (if you learned it), or a Jump attack. They will be taken out after several hits. Go straight to the chest and collect the Ordon Pumpkin. This is one of the ingredients that Yeto needs in order to make his soup taste better. If you thought that this was the key, getting it will not be that easy. Go back to the kitchen via the block room, and give Yeto the pumpkin. The regenerating power of the soup has now doubled. There is no chance of losing any hearts as well. Go back to the room where Yeta is located. She will give you another location of where they Big Key might be located to. She will also unlock another door for you. There will be a Freezard that will block your path to the north. There is a crack in the wall of the northeast (northwest on GameCube) that will take you to the next room. You will now be in an icy maze with mini freezards. You can avoid them if you want, but it is better to get them out of the way. Do the same thing that you did before with another one. There is also a cannonball in the room. Take it through the maze to the cannon, but do not put it in the cannon yet. Move the cannon to the south, and then place it in the cannon. The cannon will clear a path to the door. As for the enemies, you can throw the ball at them. There are more cannonballs in this room if you end up losing track of them. The compass will be located at the southwest (southeast on GameCube) corner of the room. In order to reach it, you will need to walk on the icy beams, while being careful on the icy sections of the beams. Take out the enemies that are on the beams, and jump the gaps in order to reach the chest. From the chest with the Compass inside, go back to the courtyard. There is a chest that is located in the northeast (northwest on GameCube) corner of the room which contains a Small Key. Defeat the White Wolfos that is near there, then get the chest. Use the Small Key you just aquired on the east (west on GameCube) door in the courtyard. Pick up a cannonball that is from the east (west on GameCube) side, and place the cannonball into the slot. Push the button and the cannonball will be transferred to the other side. Take it to the cannon and point the cannon at the Freezard. Fire it at the Freezard, and take care of the mini-Freezards, then enter the room that you just gained access to. The miniboss that is in this temple will have the item you need. The Ball and Chain will be the biggest item that this temple has, and you will need to defeat him to also gain the contents in the chest. In order to defeat the knight, when he is swinging it, use the Clawshot to get to the top of the room, and when you see the ball land, that will be your time to attack. Use your time to attack the tail from behind using the Jump Attack. You might be able to hit the knight with three of these per round. After getting the victory, get the Ball and Chain. Open the chest to recieve some Ordon Goat Cheese. Take it back to Yeto and put it in the soup. This will let you restore 8 hearts now. This is the soup you should store in a bottle. Go back to Yeta, to figure out the next, and final location the Big Key should be in. She will open the east (west on GameCube) door for you. Before going up the spiral path to go upstairs, go into the north room. Push the block out of the way, so that you have a path you can use later on. Now go up the spiral path, and stop when you see the opening that the first Freezard is located to. Use the Ball and Chain to eliminate them, and do the same with the mini ones that they create. After you reach the top of the spiral room, go through the door to the north. Hit the wall with the Ball and Chain that is on the west (east on GameCube). This will reveal a grappling point. Go south of the chandelier and hit it using the Ball and Chain. It will start to swing. Use it like it was a platform, and get the Small Key on the other side of the room. Go into the room south of the spiral room, and drop a Bomb on the weak part of the floor. This will give you access to getting a Heart Piece. In order to get back up, use the Grappling point with the Clawshot. Once you make it to the foyer's second floor, take out the ice barrier with the Ball and Chain. Take out the enemy with Bomb Arrows, and get ready to use the chandeliers. There is a Heart Piece that is above the entrance to the temple itself. To get it, while you are on the first chandelier, hit the next one to make it swing. Jump on it, and hit the other one so that it is in the opposite direction. When given the chance, it jump on that chandelier, and to the Heart Piece. If you have a stop in momentum, then fall off, and use the Clawshot on the grappling point to restart. After getting the Heart Piece, go back to the first chandelier, and make your way across the gap to the door on the west (east on GameCube) side of the foyer. Eliminate the enemies that are in the room west (east on GameCube) of the foyer, and take care of the enemies, and break the ice. This will reveal a Poe. Take the soul, and continue back to the room with the block puzzle in it. Take care of the barriers with the Ball and Chain, and use the blocks in order to hit the middle switch. You will need to make sure that the block that is on the current switch is taken off that one. Push it north, and break the one that was on the ice. Push that one south, west (east on GameCube), and north. This will line up with the first block that you pushed. Go back to the first block and push it east (west on GameCube), south, west (east on GameCube), and north. Go back up to the second floor by using the blocks, and enter the east (west on GameCube) door. while advancing north on the west (east on GameCube) side on the second floor of the courtyard, there will be some Icy Skeletons to deal with. From a distance, eliminate them with the Ball and Chain. if you manage to fall off the ledge while crossing it, you will be in the block puzzle room. The above paragraph explains how to get out of it. Break through the ice that is in the northeast (northwest on GameCube) corner of the northwest (northeast on GameCube) room in order ot expose a grappling point. Set up the chandelier to swing, and get the Small Key in the chest. Use the key in order to get into the room that is located between the foyer, and the courtyard on the second floor. Use the Ball and Chain on the enemies, and push the blocks that are on the east (west on GameCube) wall, and go back down the spiral path. Pick up a cannonball, and go back up to the cannon. Point the cannon to the west (east on GameCube) and fire into the room where you started. Use the machine that is on the north wall to transfer the cannonball to the courtyard, and place the cannonball in the cannon. Aim it at the Freezard located at the northeast (northwest on GameCube), and take it out. Go to the cannonball storage area, and work your way to the ladder northeast (northwest on GameCube) and climb it to the chapel. Once inside the chapel, the Icy Skeletons will appear to take you out. Take them out with the Ball and Chain, and claim the Big Key. Leave the chapel, and talk to Yeta. It seems she is better, and will take you to the boss room. Before going there, go back to the kitchen and stock up on some soup. Go back and get ready for the boss. Boss: Blizzeta: After a short scene, Yeta has now become Blizzeta, a Twilit Ice Mass. Use the Ball and Chain to hit her as she glides around the room. Blizzeta will shrink with each hit, and once she is down to normal size, she will send small ice statues at you. Dodge them, and use the Ball and Chain to counter. The second round will feature some icy spikes that Blizzeta will use while she is hovering over you. Look at the floor to determine where the spikes are going to land. Blizzeta will drop them one at a time, so make sure that you run to dodge them, and destroy them with the Ball and Chain. Shortly after all the spikes have dropped, Blizzeta will make the spikes form a circle and she will drop in the middle of it. With some holes in the spikes, you will be able to move, and then hit Blizzeta with the Ball and Chain. After three hits, this battle will end. Congradulations. You have defeated Blizzeta, saved Yeta, and claimed the second shard of the Mirror of Twilight. Claim the Heart Piece, and leave the temple. -------------------- 2.19. Faron Province -------------------- Go back to Hyrule Castle Town, and enter Telma's Bar. She will mention that Rusl went to the Faron Province. After talking to Auru, Ashei, and Shad, look at the map to see the whereabouts of Rusl. Warp straight to North Faron Woods, and change into human form. Go north and find Rusl on the same stump that you were on when you started searching for the Master Sword. He will mention about the Temple of Time, and will give you a Golden Cucco to take you there. Pick up the Golden Cucco, and use it to glide across the gap onto a ledge. Turn, and glide once again, this time to a root that will jut out from the cliff. Turn once again, and glide to yet another ledge. From that ledge, walk until you get to a bridge. Change the bridge direction, and glide to it. Change the direction of the next bridge, and walk to the other side of it. Make sure that you take the cucco with you on the other bridge, because you will need to glide over two more gaps. Turn the second bridge once you and the cucco are on it so that it faces east-west. Fly over the final two gaps, while dodging the swinging logs. After you have made it to the other side, the cucco will no longer be needed. You will now be in the Sacred Woods again. The Skull Kid will return, and will be as annoying as ever. Once again you will have to take him on, but this time, you will be in human form. Follow the light to three different areas. Hit him with either an Arrow, or your sword three times, and you will be taken to the arena. Once in the arena, you will have three more rounds with the pest. Take care of the skeletons, and use Arrows on the Skull Kid to claim victory. After winning, you can go straight to the Sacred Grove. Push a large block out of the way, and drop of the ledge. Go north to the place where you origionally recieved the Master Sword. Place it in the pedestal, and the guardian statue that blocks the entrance to the Temple of Time will dissappear. Go south and straight to the entrance. While on your way to the entrance, more of your shadow friends will arrive. You will need to take out five of them in order to make a warp point appear. You can fight in either human ot wolf form to eliminate them, but take out the first three before eliminating the final two with a single blow. Once they are disposed of, go straight to the Temple of Time. Enter the sacred Temple of Time, and go north. You will see another pedestal that the Master Sword can go into. Place it there, and blue-glowing stairs will appear. That will take you deeper into the Temple of Time. -------------------- 2.20. Temple of Time -------------------- While you approach the main door of the temple Foyer, Midna will make a note that one of the statues is missing. Go into wolf form, and put on your senses. This will give you an indication of what you need to do in order to get that door opened. You will need to find that statue. There is an art piece that is on a pedestal located in front of the remaining statue next to the door. Place it on the pedestal in front of where the missing statue is suppose to be. You will gain access to the stairs. Climb the stairs, and go to the other side. You will have a Small Key. Go south and into the room with the golden gates. Take out the enemies, and key at least one pot around. Take a pot and place it on the switch that is located in the middle of the room. This will make two gates open and one gate close. Go to the southern gate and get some Arrows in the chest. Go to the other gate that has opened, and turn around. Shoot the pot with an Arrow, and advance to the west (east on GameCube). In the next room, an Armos statue will come to life and attack you. To defeat it, go around to the other side, and hit the jewel located on the back. This will send the Armos Statue out of control and eventually explode. The prize for getting it right will be the Dungeon Map. Climb up the stair to the fifth floor, push the arm of the central platform in order to make it sink. Pick up a small statue, and place it on the platform. Make the platform rise, and take the statue to the switch near the southern door. Take the next statue located to the west (east on GameCube), and place it on the other switch. This will make the platform rise. Make sure that you have a clear path to the platform, then get on it and go to the south door. Before you go to the sixth floor, you will need to take on two more Armos Statues. Take them on one at a time, and do the same thing as you did to the first one earlier. Once you have defeated them both, you will get a Small Key in the chest. Proceed to the north end of the fifth floor, and go next to the green diamond. Hit it to make it turn red, and move some barriers out of the way. Go to the middle of the room, and fire an arrow at the red jewel. This will move the barriers back to their origional positions. This also gives you access to the compass. Get the Compass, and fire another arrow at the jewel. Once again, the barriers will move, and you will be able to exit this room through the east (west on GameCube) door. The eastern (western on GameCube) room will have more moving barriers, as well as some armored Lizalfos. You will need to take care of the barriers with more arrows. Once the barriers are moved, the enemies will start to attack you. Defeat them as they come at you, and proceed to the next room after making your way through the series of barriers. Climb the stairs to the next floor, and step onto the giant scale. The scale you are on will sink, and the other one will rise. Throw a statue onto the next scale and make it even. Jump on the next platform and proceed south. While you defeat every bug in this room, you will make some chests appear containing 50 Rupees. You can either use arrows, or eliminate them with spin attacks. In the next room, fire an Arrow at the Beamos located at the south end of the room, and run with the spiked machine in order to make it to the stairs. Climb the stairs and eliminate the Lizalfos as they come at you. You will need to get past the rolling spikes, and the pendulum to get access to the Small Key. Pick up the small statue located in the northwest (northeast on GameCube) corner and take it to the switch that is on the floor. This will turn off the electrical field. Climb the stairs to the north. There will be two Armos Statues that are located at the north end of the next room. Before getting them to notice you, there are spiders in the room as well. Take them out with arrows, and get some Rupees as rewards. Fight the statues, and gain access to the east (west on GameCube) door. The mini-boss that is in this room will have two parts to defeating it. You will be fighting a master swordsmen, so all the Hidden Skills you have learned up to this point will be crucial. The enemy will start slow, due to the fact that he is heavily armored. Dodge his attacks, and counter with your own. Use some of your hidden skills here and take off the armor. The speed will increase as the armor gets knocked off. The second part of this battle will have your opponent free of his armor. He will move faster now, and without warning. He will also defend himself with his sword. The Mortal Draw, and the Back Slice will work at this point, as well as targeting him. For better speed, and manuvering, I would suggest that you target him, and also use the Back Slice and Mortal Draw where you can. After defeating him, you will get the item that is in this temple, the Dominion Rod. While still in that room, use the Dominion Rod to take the statue down from the ledge that is above you. This is the statue that was origionally in the foyer of the temple. You will need to bring it back there. Guide it to the bell-shaped item in order to transfer it out of the room, and exit back to the previous room. Go next to the golden gate with the statue, and press the B button in order to destroy the golden gate. After that take out the two smaller statues that come to life. Because the statue cannot climb, you will need to find a way to get the statue intot he next room. Either place a pit or a smaller statue on the switch in order to make the platform sink down to the level both you and the big statue are on. Place the big statue onto the platform, and then remove the item on the switch. The platform and the statue will rise. There is an advantage that the statue has which you don't. The statue is able to go through electricity and the spikes. Guide it to the switch that will stop the field. Guide the state straight to the rollers. This will stop them allowing you to get by with ease. When you make it to the south room, have the statue take care of the spiked mechinisms, as well as the Beamos. This will reveal a floor switch, so set up the statue on the white-tiled platform, while having a smaller statue on the switch itself. Guide the big statue to the bell. Using the Dominion Rod, place the big statue on the first platform of the scale, and go to the six small statues. Get the six small statues that are near the platform (you will need to look above the platform where the first two are located to in order to see them), and place them on the same platform as the big statue. This will give you enough height grapple onto the spot that is located above the bell. Do this and ride the track with the Spinner west (east on GameCube). Once you make it to the platform, turn into wolf form and take the Poe soul, and continue going west (east on GameCube) into the next room. This is the room where teh Big Key is located. The door will lock behind you, and you will need to defeat all the enemies in order to move in order to exit this room. Take care of the Helmasaurs by removing their armor with the Clawshot, and then attack them with your sword. The Armos is like defeating the other ones you have seen in this temple. After defeating all the enemies, do not exit the room. You still need to get the Big Key. Clawshot to the balcony and look around for the three statues, then place them on three of the four switches. One of them can be accessed by using the Dominion Rod. next, grab the Helmasaurs armor that is on the floor and place it on the final switch. This will give you access to the Big Key. Go back into the previous room. Once again, you will need to place the Big statue on the first scale, but this time place the six small ones on the other scale. This will even out the scales, allowing you to move the big one on the other scale. Do this, and transfer the remaining scale, and place the six small statues on the scale the big statue was previously on. Once again, they are evened out, so take the Big statue straight down to the bell. You should be back in the room with the sliding barriers and diamonds in it. The statue is located on the other side of a fence. Control the statue to make the statue go through the fence, and hit an arrow at the diamond in order to make it slide to the other side. Guide the big statue straight to the floor switch, and stop using the Dominion Rod. Get the Heart Piece located in the chest in the northeast (norhtwest on GameCube) corner, and then guide the statue next to the next set of barriers and Diamond switch. When you return to the first room with the barriers and the diamond switch, have the big statue take care of the barriers. After that, guide him straight to the bell. The next room you enter will be the room with the spinning chamber in the middle of the room. You will need to go into the south room again, and get another Heart Piece that is in this temple. Push the lever to make it sink to the bottom floor, and grab the statue that is near all the Baby Gohmas. Go back up and place the statue on one of the switches, then go and grab the other statue on the west (east on GameCube) of the pedestal, and place it on the other switch. Enter the south room. Defeat all the Gohma's in the room, then take on the Armos. This will give you some room to work on what you need to do. Go to the south end of the room and look for the statue that is on the ledge with the railing along it. Use the Dominion Rod to move it north to the switch at the end of the pathway. Pick up a statue, and throw it on the opposite side of where you first seen the statue you just moved. Use the Dominion Rod on that one as well and move it to the remaining switch. This will make a chest appear, and the contents will be the Heart Piece. Go back into the room with the spinning chamber and move the chamber up to the big statue. Use the Dominion Rod, and move it onto the pedestal. Move straight down to where the Baby Gohmas are and use the big statue to take care of them. Make sure that you are not in front of the statue as it attacks or you will be hit instead of the baby Gohmas. Once all the Baby Gohmas are eliminated, the electrical field will be gone. This will be your key to take the statue out onto the remaining part of the round room. Before taking the big statue to the bell, take out the white Beamos and make the remaining Baby Gohmas appear. Eliminate them quickly. Go to the south part of the room and break open the golden gate. turn into wolf form, and take the Poe Soul. Now take the big statue to the bell. Move straight down to the golden gate, and use the Clawshot in order to get over that gate. Bring the big statue to life, and use it to defeat the Armos that are in the room. Go to the bell that is located on the second floor. Go back to the room with only one statue, and see the other one waiting for you. Place it where it is suppose to be, and you will gain access to the Boss Room. Before going to the boss room, you will need to proceed with caution. Jump over the gap, and take care of the Beamos using an Arrow. Next, run past all the swinging pendulums, and grab the Small Statue. Put the statue on the switch to open the first golden gate, and proceed to the gate. Use the Dominion Rod to remove the statue from the switch, and open the remaining one. This will close the one you just went through but that is not really a big deal. Break the pots opened, and if you need a Fairy to place in a bottle then you can get one here. Enter the Boss Room. Boss: Arachnid Gohma: Arachnid Gohma will simply be on the ceiling this battle going from hole to hole, getting det to fire a laser from the back of the eye. Run in a zigzag direction from the laser, and get into the middle of the room. When you are set and the eye is opened, fire an Arrow at the eye. This will knock Arachnid Gohma to the ground, next to a statue. Use the Dominion Rod to bring the statue to life and hit Gohma. Arachnid Gohma will start to shoot out eggs with her little baby Gohmas to come out and attack you with. You will need to defeat them in order to get Hearts and Arrows. Repeat the first process until Arachnid Gohma is defeated. Once you have defeated Arachnid Gohma, you will need to eliminate the remaining part. The eye will be surrounded by Baby Gohmas trying to prevent you from hitting it. You can use Arrows in order to defeat it, or run after it killing the Baby Gohmas as well as the eye itself. Congradulations. You have defeated Arachnid Gohma, and receieved the third Mirror Shard. On to the final one. ----------------------- 2.21. The Oocca's Words ----------------------- After going through the Temple of Time, and hearing from Ooccoo, go to Telma's bar. While on the way there, you will recieve a letter from Renado about Ilia's memory. Go to Telma's Bar and find out about Shad's location. Ironically, it is in Kakariko Village. Once in Kakariko Village, go into the hut that Renado is located in. Talk to Renado, and he will mention about a way to get back Ilia's memory. You will need to deliver a letter to Telma, and mention something about a "Rod of the Heavens." Basically, the Dominion Rod. Before leaving for Telma's Bar, go into the basement, and find Shad looking at the statue. Talk to him about his beliefs about the Oocca tribe, and Ilia's memory both being connected to each other. Before you go to Telma's Bar, if you never got the Wolf that is in the graveyard, then go now and recieve the sixth hidden skill. Go to Telma's bar, and show her the letter. She will give you the invoice for the doctor. Go to the doctor's office, and he will explain that he has no money to pay the invoice, and about a wooden statue that Ilia was holding onto when she came into town. After the doctor moves, go to the end of the office, and move the crate. This will reveal a green potion, the same one he spilled on the wooden statue. Sniff it and follow the scent out of the doctors office. The scent will take you to Louise, Telma's cat. She will explain everything that happened after she taken the statue from the doctor's office. Exit Hyrule Castle Town, via south, and wait for nightfall to take on the Skeletal Dogs. When you see the Skeletal Dogs, they will be in a pack as Louise mentioned. Defeat all of them by using Midna's Dark attack, and by other attacks as well. Defeating the entire pack will get you the item you need, the wooden statue. Go back to Kakariko Village, and show the wooden statue to Ilia. This will bring back some of her memory, and will give the Gorons a full memory of what the statue is and the hidden village. Darbus, the Patriarch you saved earlier in the game but does not realize it, will assist you by going there and giving you access to the village. There will be a red marker placed on the map. Go there using Epona. Once you enter the Hidden Village, you will have 20 enemies that captured Ilia, and the children earlier in the game. They use Bows, as well as clubs, and can be scene at a distance using the Hawkeye. If you have the Hawkeye, then team it up with the Bow and Arrow. This will give you better access to getting rid of the enemies in this village. Do like Darbus suggested, and eliminate them before they see you. This will make it easier to eliminate all 20 of them. Look through the town, including in places, and in alleyways to find them. To gain access to the upper levels, simply use the Clawshot. This will help you from getting detected by the enemies. Also, make sure that you are looking at the bottom right side of the screen to see how many of them are remaining. Take care of the enemies on the outside, before you eliminate the ones that are in the buildings. Once all the enemies are eliminated, an elderly lady will come and introduce herself. Her name is Impaz, and she is the last remaining person in the Hidden Village. She will explain about how she met Ilia, and the item that can retrieve her memory. She will give you Ilia's charm. Before going back to Kakariko Village, to through one of the buildings on the west (east on GameCube) and get the final howling stone. The wolf will be located at Hyrule Castle. It is best to get this one so that you will have all seven hidden skills before the City in the Sky. Go back to Kakariko Village, and show Ilia the item that Impaz gave you. Ilia will have her memory restored, and will mention about the "Messenger of the Gods" item. You should know that she is talking about the Dominion Rod, and how Impaz cannot leave the village until the messenger comes to her. Go back to the Hidden Village, and show Impaz the Dominion Rod. She will give you a book that is made of sky writing. There is only one person that can translate it. Once again, go back to Kakariko Village. Enter Renado's hut, and go into the basement to Shad. Show him the book, and he will read from it. The passage will have no effect to the statue, but it will have effect to the Dominion Rod, once again restoring the power that it had in the Temple of Time. Before you go and search for the statues, you can take this time to look for any Heart Pieces, Poe Spirits, Rupees, and bugs for Agitha's Ball. Getting all 24 bugs will get you the 1000 Rupee bag. This will help with getting the Malo Mart to Hyrule Castle Town, and a big help in getting the Magic Armor. When you are going for the statues, you can do them in any order you desire. This guide will show you the order that I usually do them in: 1: Warp to the South Faron Woods location, and go past the Lantern Oil salesman. Go to the boulder that is located northeast (northwest) of his residence, and blow it up. Go to the statue, and use the Dominion Rod to move it. This will be letter 1. There is also a Heart Piece in this area, and you can access it using the Dominion Rod and this statue. See the Heart Pieces section of this guide for details. 2: Use Epona to get to the southern area of the Eldin Province. Dismount from Epona near the northern wall, and climb over the ledge to find the statue. Once again, use the Dominion Rod to move it and get the second letter. 3: This statue will be located at the north end of Eldin Bridge, along the east (west on GameCube) side of it. Take out the enemies that will shoot arrows at you using the Hawkeye/Arrow combo, and go straight to the statue. Move it and get the third letter. There is another Heart Piece in this area as well. See the Heart Piece section of this guide to find out how to get it. 4: Go southeast (southwest on GameCube) of the east (west on GameCube) entrance to Hyrule Castle Town. The third statue will be on a pedestal in the ampitheatre. Take care of the three enemies including the Poe, and use the Dominion Rod to take it off the pedestal. Place it so that you can jump onto the top of the statue, and to the pedestal to get the fourth letter. 5: Go to the Lake Hylia bridge, and go north of the bridge itself. Take the statue off the cliff, and move it so that it is directly under the vines that are above it. Use the Clawshot to get onto the vines, and drop down to the top of the statue. Jump to the fifth letter. 6: Warp to the Gerudo desert and travel west (east on GameCube) to where the red marker is located on the map. There are some stone blocks in the area, making it tough to get to the letter. Use the Dominion Rod to move it down, and place it in the middle of the blocks that are between the northeast and northwest areas, and climb the northwest (northeast on GameCube) blocks. Jump to it. Continue to use this process to get to the chest and collect the 100 Rupees that are in the chest. Now that you have all six letters, you can go back to Shad and give him back the book. He will read the magic words, which will help you move the statue. While Shad goes away puzzled at the riddle that he cannot seem to solve, use the Dominion Rod to move the statue, and go down to the cannon. Shad will come down, and will examine the cannon. When you are able to gain control again go close to the cannon, and ask Midna to warp. She will mention that Shad needs to leave. Talk to Shad to get him to leave, and take the cannon to Lake Hylia. Go to Fyer, and talk to him. He hsa noticed the cannon, and will offer to fix it. This will cost you 300 Rupees. After you see him fix it, you will have access to the City in the Sky. Use the Clawshot to enter the cannon, and wait until Ooccoo and Ooccoo Jr. enter the cannon. The cannon will shoot you to the heavens. --------------------- 2.22. City in the Sky --------------------- After talking to Ooccoo, you will notice her go to the shop. Proceed to the shop, and get any items that you will need. The Blue Potion will be great, because you will have your hearts replenished, and it will boost your attack power for a short time. Go talk to Ooccoo and she will assist you through this temple if you need to go back to the start of it. Exit the shop, and go back to the water. Make sure that you have the Iron Boots set, because the wind will blow you back. This will prevent you from moving and falling off the City in the Sky. Proceed north, and defeat the Deku Babas along the way. When you can get within range, use the Clawshot to hit the blue diamond, turning it to yellow. You can also use Arrows, but you might waste some doing this because of the wind. Once the door is opened, go into the next room. The Oocca people, except for Ooccoo and Ooccoo Jr, are like Cuccos in this temple. They will help you get from point to point by floating there. Do not step on any blue blocks. They will fall the second you step on them. Use an Oocca to land on the grey blocks. Defeat the Helmasaur, and get the Rupees, and Arrows in the pots. Use the Clawshot to catch the vines, and then grab another Oocca. You might need to use the Clawshot to grab one if they cannot be in reach. They are walking up the wall. Land on the grey park of the next platform, and take care of the two Helmasaurs that are on that platform. To east (west on GameCube) and climb the platform to enter the next room. Upon entering the central room, notice the Giant Helmasaur's Armor. It cannot be removed like the other Helamsaurs. You will need to sneak around and hit its back to defeat it. The Back Slice will help with this manuver. After you defeat the Giant Helmasaur, go east (west on GameCube) to the grate with the opening. You can step onto the blue blocks for this because it is mainly grey blocks in that area. Clawshot up to the grate, and exit the central room to the east (west on GameCube) side of the City. From there, use the Spinner to extend the bridge. To get to the brdige, go to the edge of the platform you are on and Clawshot to the vines. Climb up, go across the bridge, and enter the next room. When you are corssing the bridge, you will need the Iron Boots. When you are in the next room, jump across the gaps, and use the Clawshot on the red target that is above the chest. Open the chest and get the Dungeon Map. After getting that, Clawshot to the grate, and go back to the bridge. After you go back across the bridge, the dragon will once again appear, and take out the bridge. Return to the central chamber, and grapple to the ivy to be on the central chamber. Run across the blue blocks and enter the room on the west (east on GameCube). When you are inside the next room make sure that you have the Iron Boots to cross the wind. When the Helmasaur comes at you, remove the armor, and if you done it right, it will fall off the edge. Put on the Iron Boots and go across the first wind barrier. Use the Clawshot on the vines to get past the next wind barrier, and move along the vines to make to the grey blocks. Go through the western (eastern on GameCube) go make a left (right on GameCube). Open the chest to get the Dungeon Map. Go back into the previous room. Grapple back to the vines on the other side and drop down to the ground. Run to the southeast (southwest on GameCube) corner of the room, and go to the edge of the platform. Use the Clawshot to hit the switch located behind the pillar. This will deactivate the wind barrier located in the southwest (southeast on GameCube) will be deactivated. Use the Iron Boots to get across the first wind barrier once again, and use the Clawshot to get past the second wind barrier. Make sure that the Iron Boots are taken off, so that you can run across the blue blocks where the wind barrier once was blowing across, and enter the next room. The next room will be tricky to get across. You will need to jump from platform to platform starting at the south end of the room. Be cautious of the wind funnels because they can knock you off the platform, and Tileworms that hide under some blocks can do the same. When you spot one, use the Gale Boomerang to take them out. Use the Clawshot to get at some of the pots, and get the items inside. Once you make it to the other end of the room, enter the next room. After you enter the next room, you will see two Large Lizalfos that will be ready to fight. You can defeat them by jumping to the middle of the room, and attracting both of them, and try to knock them off the edge. You can also use Arrow/Bomb combo, and take them out. Either way, they both work. After defeating them Lizalfos, you will have a gate open on the second floor. Use the Clawshot on the Golden Ornament. This will activate the wind funnel. Grab an Oocca that is in this room, and use it to glode towards the funnel. This will give you enough air to gert more of a boost, and enter the next room. Before yo grab an Oocca in this room, grapple onto the ornament located on the ceiling, and get a chest that will have 20 Rupees in it. There is a 50-Rupee chest at the east (west on GameCube) side of the room, so you can get that as well. Use an Oocca to catch some air, and go through the hole that is in the north wall. Clawshot to another ornament, and create another wind funnel. Grab another Oocca, or the same one you just used, and go through the hole located to the west (east on GameCube) wall. Go through the door to the north. This next part will take some patience to proceed through. You will need to get to the 3rd basement. Start off by grappling onto the ornament using the Clawshot, and open a door you will need to use later on. Use an Oocca in order to hover straight below and to the west (east on GameCube). From that platform, float down to the next plarform, located directly below you. Next, hover down to the platform that is directly southeast (southwest on GameCube) that will have a grapple point right next to it. From there, grapple from ledge to ledge in order to reach the door. Make sure that you avoid the wind gusts while you are going downward, because they will blow you out of the City walls. In order to get past them, go past them once they stop. When you enter the next room, the fan will be spinning. Common sense should tell you that you will not be able to get past it while it is spinning. Put on the Iron Boots, and Clawshot to the ornament at the top of the ceiling. This will bring the ornament down, and stop the fan. Go down trough the fan and get ready for the mini-boss. The mini-boss here will be a Dragon Warrior. Make sure that you have youe Clawshot and aim it at the shield of the dragon while it is hovering around. Once the shield is in front of the dragon, release the Clawshot and bring the dragon to even level, then attack it with your sword. After a few hits, the attack pattern will change. The dragon will start to fly out of the room, and circle around the tower and enter one of the holes in the wall. You will need to scan the room quickly to find out which one he will appear from. Once you find the dragon, use the Clawshot to bring it to your level, and continue to hit it with your sword until it is defeated. You will get a Clawshot upgrade for your troubles. The Double Clawshots will be more effective throughout the remainder of the city. Go back up through the fan and go back into the previous room. Once you reenter the next room, you will need to use the Double Clawshots to get back to the ornament partway up the room. Grapple to that ornament in order to open a large door. Move the length of the Clawshot so that you have access to the grapple areas inside the large gate. Use the Double Clawshots in order to get past the large gate. The door will quickly shut behind you. Enter the next room. Carefully look at the pillars in this room. You will need to grapple from pillar to pillar in order to get through this room. Target the first pillar and continue to hold onto the target button throughout going through the pillars. Clawshot to the first one, and hurry to the next one. They will start to fall the second that you are on one. The chest that is in this room will have the Compass. The next room will place you under the bridge. There are three Deku Babas that are upside down in this room. Prune the first one with the Clawshot, and Clawshot onto the first grate. Take care of each Deku Babas. They will fall off after two hits. Once they are gone, grapple into the next mesh, and continue to the end mesh. Once you are on the last one, look for the vines, and grapple to them. Climb up and enter the main room. When you are in the main room, you will once again need to go back to the east (west on GameCube). Use the Clawshot to hit the ceiling and then the other Clawshot to hit the grapple point above the east (west on GameCube) door. Enter the next room. Remember that the bridge is out thanks to the boss (the big dragon) of this city. The plants are still flying around the area. Target one, and use the Double Clawshots in order to get to the other door. Enter the next room. This will be the same room where you got the Dungeon Map earlier in the city. This time, you are going to the floor below where you got the map. Grapple onto the target at the ceiling and use it to lower yourself to the floor below. Remember that you needed to use the Double Clawshots to get across to the other side of the room on the west (east on GameCube) tower. This time you will need to do the same and more. Use the target button and target from pillar to pillar until you get to the other side until you drop down to the floor. Walk to the edge of the floor facing north, and grapple onto the grapple point to go through the wall. While you are hanging from that wall, grapple onto the target that is located to your right (left on GameCube) and zip across to the mesh. You will reach a treasure chest. Turn and face south, and grapple onto the target to your left (right on GameCube) and then grapple to another mesh screen. Go through the next hole in the wall. Either jump or repel down onto the next level. Take care of the plants that are on the mesh with either the Clawshot or Bomb Arrows, and grapple to where they once were. Go down to the crystal switch, and hit it with a Clawshot. Go through the gate, to the next part. Use the mesh, as well as the grapple spots in order to climb up to the next two floors of the dungeon. There are two more chests within the area, but the Tileworms are also in this area. If you want to get the chests, then the Tileworms will need to be rid of. Once you have completed this area, enter the next room. There is one section in the Forest Temple where you needed to fight a large plant in order to get a Small Key. This time, you will need to fight one in order to make enough room to get through more sections of this room. Defeat this one like the one in the Forest Temple, and defeat the Deku Babas that are around the area as well. After all the enemies are disposed of, grapple onto the pillar, and to the vines. Climb up the vines and walk along the narrow pathway straight to the treasure chest. Use either an arrow or the Clawshot onto the Deku Baba and let it come towards you while you are next to the chest. Keep going foward and grab the ledge that is on your right (left on GameCube). Go across the gap by hanging onto the ledge and get to the chest and get a Heart Piece. Go back from where you got the Heart Piece, and grapple up to the pillar, then to the next pillar, and finally to the vines. Grapple to the target that is located on the ceiling, and move the chain down until you reach the ground. You will need to defeat the Lizalfos that is waiting there. Once he is gone, go to the door, and enter the next room. The next area will have some more plants that you can grapple onto. These ones will be moving slowly. Grapple onto the first one, and get over the first wall. and drop down to the ground. Defeat the enemies, and grab onto the western (eastern on GameCube) plant. Clear the second wall, and grab onto the plant that is travelling south. While you are hovering, grapple onto the plant that is floating above the island, and drop down using the chain. Defeat the Poe, and grab the soul, and grab the chest. After getting the Poe as well as the chest, grapple onto the plant that is heading north. Make sure that you use the chain and get through the wall. Next, when you are in a good position, grapple onto the second plant, and make sure that you use the chain to get through the hole in the wall. Once you have past both holes, land on the platform, and enter the next room. You will see more flying plants at the next area. You can take out the enemies using arrows, and use the targeting button to target the plants. Before moving on to go onto the floating island, detour over and continue to the south balcony. Enter the door, and open the chest to get the other Heart Piece. Go back into the room with the flying plants, and go onto the central structure. While you are on the central structure, take care of all the enemies that are on the ground, then grapple onto the northeast (northwest on GameCube) vines. Go into wolf form, and go across the ropes. Once you make it to the middle, turn left (right on GameCube), and turn back into human form. Defeat the spiders, and go across the vines, then turn into wolf form again to cross some more ropes. Next to the farthest chest will be the Poe. Sense it and be careful when taking it on because of the footing. Attack once the Poe dives low. Go back across the ropes, and the vines, then go clockwise through the area until you get to the door. Once inside the next room, grapple onto the ceiling mesh located to your right (left on GameCube). Put on the Iron Boots, and grapple onto the ornament. This will shut the fan off. Descend down and grab the big key. Drop down through the hole, and straight to the thiord floor. Open the chest, and grapple to the mesh, the use the chain to go down into the fan. DO NOT LET GO OF THE CLAWSHOT JUST YET. While you are hanging, grapple onto the ornament, and put on the Iron Boots. This will start the fan. Go down to the floor and enter the north room. Because of the fan you just started, the large panels will start to turn around. This will give you access to the north room, and the room before the boss. Grapple onto the mesh sides, and move to the north end. Once you are at the end of the panels, grapple onto the front of the fan, and open the chest. Next, drop down and enter the next room. Upon entering the next room, you will need to take out not just one, but two Dragon Warriors. Defeat them like you did the one earlier, and grapple onto the grating that is on the wall. From the grating, grapple onto the mesh-colored panel, and use the Clawshot to stsrt the panels turning. Continue useing the Double Clawshot to go from panel to panel, and get to the top of the tower. Once you are near the top, there is another switch that you will need to hit. This will start the spin on the final fan. When it is spinning, grapple onto the target that is above the door, and enter the boss room. Boss: Argorok: Argorok will hover above the battlefield, and will try to knock you off using its wings. Use the Iron Boots in order to counter this attack. He will also like to swoop down and try to ram you off using it's claws to try to knock you over the edge. This attack can easily be avoided, while the Iron Boots will keep you from falling off due to the wind gusts. The first thing you will need to do is take off Argorok's armor. Once he swoops down, make sure that you use the Clawshot on the tail, and put on the Iron Boots. This will cause him to crash down. Argorok will fly on top of one of the pillars. as well. Climb up the pillars to him, and then grab onto the tail when you get the chance to. After a few ties breaking the shield, Argorok will go without the entire thing, and round two will begin. In round two, use the Double Clawshots in order to reach the plants that are hovering above the battlefield, then keep using the target until the end of Argorok's fire attack. Once you are behind him, use a Clawshot to grapple onto the jewel on the mighty dragon's back, and hit it a few times with the sword. After a few attacks, Argorok will begin to attack with two fire attacks. Turn around when he stops the first attack and keep going until he stops and you have a chance to get onto the back again. Then hit it with your sword. Congradulations. You have now defeated Argorok, and recieved the final piece of the Mirror Chamber. You can now enter the Twilight Realm, and go to the castle. -------------------- 2.23. Hyrule Kingdom -------------------- Before you take the Mirror shards back to the Mirror Chamber, you will need to get a few upgrades. Look at the secrets section to find out about all the Heart Pieces, and make sure that you have all the equipment before you move on. Also, Make sure that you get the Magic Armor, To do this, go to Malo Mart in Kakariko Village, and give 1000 Rupees to the goron that is doing the collecting. This will repair the bridge. Give another 200 to that same Goron, and the shop will be in Hyrule Castle Town. Go there after collecting 598 Rupees, and purchase the Magic Armor. Make sure that you visit the cave or Ordeals after you have the Magic Armor and 1000 Rupees. You will not last unless you have them. Once you have done all that, warp back to the top of the Arbiter's Grounds, and reform the Mirror of Twilight. The short scene will reveal Midna as the Twilight of Princess, and how she became the form that she is currently in. ------------------------ 2.24. Palace of Twilight ------------------------ Go to the east (west on GameCube) side of the palace's outside, and enter the first room. There are a few minor enemies that are in the room, as well as two magical enemies that will look like Zant's head. They will go in and out of the room. Defeat them by using the Shield Attack to deflect their magic back at them, and hitting them with your sword. You will get a Small Key for defeating them. Grapple to the door and enter the next room. There is a key in this room located in a chest to the north. While you are walking to it, you will end up turning into wolf form with the fog, Make sure that you uses your canine senses in order to track down the Zant heads that are in this room. Doing this will make two more chests appear. One will contain a Compass, while the other one will have 100 Rupees in it. There is a Heart Piece in this room, so make sure that you use the Heart Piece section of the guide to find out how to get it. For awhile now you have been waiting to make Zant pay for his part in turning Hyrule into a place of darkness. You will have to take on his ghostly form that will lock you into the room, and will conjure up some enemies as well. Make sure that when you see the Zant image appear, you go straight for that. He will only be there for a few seconds, so you will need to make the most of it. Make sure that you attack it with your sword before it conjures up more enemies for you to play with. Defeating the Zant image will not get you anything, but you will need to get the Sol Power that the hand it guarding. Attack the hand statue in order to force it to drop the Sol. Pick it up and run straight to the center of the room. The hand will comt to life and will chase after the Sol. Place the Sol onto the slot that is on the floor in order to make some stair appear. Leave the Sol there for a moment and climb the stairs. Turn around and Clawshot the Sol to you, then enter the previous room. If the hand manages to get the Sol, stun the hand with the Clawshot, and grab the Sol. You cannot destroy the hand, but you can prevent it from getting the sol. While you are inside the palace, the hand will be chasing you for the Sol. Continue going south until you reach the middle of the chamber. Place the Sol into the slot, and make the stairs appear. Quickly run up the stairs until you are on the upper platform. Clawshot the Sol before the hand grabs it. If the hand manages to grab it, simply Clawshot it away from the hand. While you are along the east (west on GameCube) side of the room, toss the Sol over the high step, them climb to the Sol. In the next room, there will be enemies there that will try to prevent you from getting to the outside. Quickly run past them, and continue onward until you make it outside. If the plants grab you, you will drop the Sol. Make sure that this does not happen. Once you are outside the palace, the hand will not be able to chase you, so the Sol will be safe. Use it in order to save the Twili, and place it on the slot that is closest to the east (west on GameCube) side. This will make a square platform appear. Ride it over to the west (east on GameCube) side of the palace. Grapple onto the point that is on the wall, then straight to the one that is on the ceiling. Move down the chain just a bit in order to view the platform that is below you. Once the platform is below you, drop down to it, and hop across the platforms. Deflect the Zant head shots before you advance, and defeat it in order to get a Small Key to appear. Some shadow beings will be in the next room, and will be coming to attack you. Go into the fog to enter wolf form, and use Midna's Dark Energy attack in order to defeat them. Some Zant Heads will also follow in this room. You do not need to use your senses for them, because they stick out in the fog. Simply attack them, and defeat them. You will get the Dungeon Map as youe reward. Exit the fog and grapple onto the wall at the north end of the room. This will give you access to the grapple point on the ceiling. Advance from there to get all the chests in this room including a Heart Piece. The Dungeon Map will be located in the southeastern (southwestern on GameCube) chest. The Small Key is located in the southwestern (southeastern on GameCube) chest. The next room will contain the next Sol. It will also have another ghostly image of Zant, and the enemies that he will spit out at you. Defeat this one like you did the other one and grab the Sol. Head for the center of the room, and more enemies will appear. Quickly dispose of them, because the hand is coming for the Sol. Go back into the previous room once all the enemies are disposed of, and you still have the Sol in your hand. Place the Sol in the middle of the room, and make the tall structure rise, Grapple to the north end of the room, and then to the west (east on GameCube) side of the room. Climb up the structure and get the Sol with the Clawshot once you are in the southwest (southeast on GameCube) corner. Make sure that you get to the structure before the hand enters the room. The wall that pops up will block its way from getting to the Sol. This will give you enough time for some aerial acrobatics with the Clawshot. The southwest (southeast on GameCube) room will have the fog underneath, so you will need to float above it. Ride the platforms straight tio a tower that has two dark orbs there. when you get close to them, they will light up to create a sliding platform which will take you to the exit. If you manage to fall off, use the Clawshot to stun the hand, and take the orb back to the north end of the room. Lighting the orb will make a platform appear, and you will go back to the starting point. Once you reach the outside, you will no longer have to deal with any hands. Lift the curse off another Twili citizen, and place the Sol into the remaining slot in the center of the palace. The Master Sword will upgrade into the Light Sword. This will help you collect the two remaining Heart Pieces in this temple. When you have gotten everything you needed, go north in the central section of the palace and enter the next room. Use the Spin Attack with the Light Sword in order to dispel the fogwithin this room. This room will have some Sol's like you have to deal with outside, except there are no hands to stop you from getting them outside. Place them in the slots in order to make stairs appear in the floor. The sols will not have the power to get rid of the fog until they are in the slots, so you will need to get rid of the fog long enough to place them in the slots. The fog will be gone once they have been placed in the slots. Run up the stairs and illuminate the orb. This will make a platform that will take you to the northwest (northeast on GameCube) corner. Take on the Zant heads to get a Small Key, then light three more orbs. Enter the next room. When you are on the west (east on GameCube) side of the next room, cut through the curtain of fog, and use the Clawshot in order to grapple up from perch to perch. Defeat the surrounding enemies as you make it up the perch, because they might knock you into the abyss. After you make it to the top, open the chest and get the Big Key. Before you get the Small Key and enter the next room, you will need to defeat all the Zant Heads that are in the eastern (western on GameCube) section of the third floor. To defeat the first one, light up the orbs, and ride the platform to the next platform. Defeat the head, there, and light the orbs there, and ride it back to the main section. Defeat the remaining three heads, and collect the Small Key. Enter the next room. A dark fog will float over the floor, at the north end of this extremely tall room. Spin attack to clear it away, and light up the four orbs in order to begin the climb. After the platform lifts you up, jump to the eastern (western on GameCube) platform, and ride two more platforms. Hop on the north platform and ride it straight to the eastern (western on GameCube) edge. Grapple onto that ledge, and jump to another platform, and ride this ont to the west (east on GameCube). Grapple onto the western (eastern on GameCube) wall, and defeat the Zant Head. Look up from the ledge that is on the western-central (eastern-central on GameCube) platform and look for a grapple target. Grapple to the center of the room, and use the chain to go down to another platform. Ride it to the east (west on GameCube) end of the room, and fight a Zant head. Open the chest and get a Small Key, then ride a platform straight to the door. While you are going to Zant's chamber, there are some Shadow Beings that you will need to get rid of. Take them out with the Light Sword in one hit, and enter Zant's chamber. Before you battle Zant, listen to the story of how he came to being the threat he is right now. -------------------------- 2.25. The Battle with Zant -------------------------- Defeating Zant will take six stages. You will need to use a variety of weapons that are in your arsenal before the final fight. Zant will have some energy blasts that he will attack you with. These ones you cannot attack with your shirld attack, so just avoid them and counter with the Light Sword. Stage one: Stage one will take place in the boss lair of the Forest Temple. Zant will hover over the poisoned liquid, attacking you with the energy blasts. Target him with the Gale Boomerang to drawm him near you, and hit him with the Light Sword with a few Jump Attacks. Stage Two: This stage will take place in the Goron Mines, on the giant disc that you had to fight the Goron to get the Hero's Bow. Zant will warp from place to place, and try to knock you off. Make sure that you have the Iron Boots on while he is attacking. When he is done attacking with the Energy attack, he will take a breather. This will be your moment to run to him and hit him with your Light Sword. Make sure that the Iron Boots are off when you are running to him. Stage Three: You will be in the Lakebed Temple boss area for the third stage. Put on the Zora Armor for this battle, because you will need it, as well as the Iron Boots, and the Clawshot. Zant will appear in the form of a giant helmet, that will open up with Zant inside. Dodge his energy attack, and use the Clawshot to draw him to you. Once he is near you, hit him with your Light Sword. After a few hits, four helmets will appear, but Zant will only be in one. Spot the one that he will be in, and repeat the process like before. Stage Four: You will be back at the Forest Temple for stage four. You will be where you needed to take on the baboon. Zant will be like the baboon, and hop around from pole to pole. Approach the pole he is on while he is firing at you, and slam into it with a role twice. Zant will fall to the ground, and you will be able to run up to him and attack him. Stage Five: Welcome back to Snowpeak Ruins where you had to take on Blizzeta for stage five. Zant will begin this phase as a floating giant. Make sure that you have the Ball and Chain on, and look at his reflection in the ice. Keep on moving in order to make sure that he does not land on you. When he drops down, hit one of his feet with the Ball and Chain. Zant will go into miniture form, and run around in a path. Track him down, and attack with the Light Sword. Final Stage: You will be back outside Hyrule Castle for the final showdown with Zant. The arena itself will be defined by a magic barrier. Zant will have three forms of attack here. The first form will be flailing around, which he will begin the battle with. This will be your chance to get a few shots in. The second form will see Zant spin around like a top, trying to get you into the magic barrier. Use your Shield to defend against the attack, and stay away from the edges. Zant will stop and take some breaths after that attack. Hit him there with everything you got. The third form of his attack will be the maniac slasher attack. This is where he is running at you, while he is weilding his blades like he is in a horror movie. He will also warp from around the arena with this attack, so you will need to be careful about this one. Do not get cornered, or the spin attack will be coming. Simply dodge the attack, and run around the arena. When you can land a shot in do so. Congradulations. You have defeated Zant and restored piece to the Twilight realm. Midna will find out that Ganondorf will need to be defeated in order to restore her to her true form. She will also regain the Fused Shadow Pieces. ------------------- 2.26. Hyrule Castle ------------------- After you defeated Zant, and came back through the Mirror of Twilight to the Arbiter's Grounds, warp back to Hyrule Castle Town, and go to the north exit to the castle. Midna will use the power of the Fused Shadow pieces in order to get rid of the shield. Push the massive door forward, and enter the courtyard of the castle. Go to the east (west on GameCube) exit, and get ready for battle. You will have to face off against a bunch of Bokoblins, and have a barrier surround you until they are all defeated. Do not touch the barrier, or you will lose some health. There are more Bokoblins in the area as you are eastern (western on GameCube) courtyard. In order to open the grate door, grab onto the chain located to the right (left on GameCube) of the door, then pull it opnened. Go northwest (northeast on GameCube), and get ready for another big fight. Remember the big green guy that you have been defeating the whole game. Well King Bulbin is back, and this time you will need to fight him for the key. All of your hidden skills will come in handy here, and he is still slow, but the Back Slice will be needed if he keeps blocking the front attacks. After the fight, he will give you the key, and will align with your side. You will only find out then that King Bulbin talks. Now that you have the key, you will need to get back to the previous area. Do this by climbing the stairs located at the south, and jump over the wall. Before jumping over the wall, there are some chests in the area that you will want to get. One will be located north of where you fought King Bulbin, and the other one will be when you jump over the wall. Go back through the southern door, and head to the western (eastern on GameCube) side of the courtyard. Once you enter the western (eastern on GameCube) door, there will be another ambush of Bokoblins. Once again, you will be in the middle of the barrier. Like all Bokoblins, they will be easy to take care of, just eliminate them as quick as you can. Oncw you go past the door, more enemies will try to prevent you from getting to your destination. Stay close to the door, because the archers will not be able to hit you then, and take care of them using your Bow. When they are taken care of, use the boars that are located north of the entrance in order to destroy the wooden barricades, then access the northwest (northeast on GameCube) area of the courtyard. There are six propeller-topped pillars awaiting you in the northwestern area of the courtyard. The Gail Boomerang will come in handy here. Use it to clear the leaves at the eastern (western on GameCube) part of the area, and use the Boomerang to mimic the zizzaging pattern that is located on the floor. This will give you access to the Dungeon Map. Change into wolf form, and go to the leaves. Dig there in order to enter the graveyard. Defeat the enemies there, and look for a switch that will open the door to the alcove located to the west (east on GameCube). To get that switch, look at one of the graves that hints at a swordsmans grave located beneath a tree. Place a Bomb on the rock that is located next to the northernmost tree, This will uncover the switch that will open the door to the western (eastern on GameCube) alcove. When you are inside the western (eastern on GameCube) alcove, you will find three chests with Rupees in them, some Lantern Oil, and a torch. Light the torch in the alcove in order to make the rain stop temporarily. Immediate run across the alcove straight to the eastern (western on GameCube) alcove and light the torches that are on either side of the door. Use the Dominion Rod in order to move the statues to the south end of the graveyard. Lead the statues in the notches at the south end of the graveyard, and place them so that you can hop from one to the next. When you have them in place, climb the nearby stones, and use the statues to step the chamber located to the west (east on GameCube). Pull on the chain in order to open the door, and get the Key that is in the chest. Make your way back through the western (eastern on GameCube) courtyard, in wolf form, and use the boar to get rid of the barricades the thieves have rebuilt. When you are in the main part of the courtyard, go north and enter the castle itself. Once you enter the front of the castle hall, some enemies will come right at you. Defeat all of them and get the chest that contains the Compass. This will be on the second floor balcony. To get to that balcony, climb a small flight of stairs that is next to that balcony, and grapple onto the chandelier. Drop down to the balcony to get the compass. From the balcony where you just got the compass. grapple onto the chandelier to the east (west on GameCube), and descend a bit in order to reach the next grapple area. Grapple to the next chandelier, and drop down to the north door. Enter the next room. After you defeat the Dark Knight, a treasure chest will appear on a ledge. You will need to get the upper level of this room, light the two torches located to the west (east on GameCube). This will raise the two lower steps. Climb the two lower steps, and use the Gail Boomerang to get rid of the light on the torch to the east (west on GameCube) side of the room. Jump to the rear step while it rises from the floor. When you are on the upper level, you will have a choice to make about which route to take. Both routes will get you outside, but you will have two different obsticles to take. If you take the East (West on GameCube) Path: STart off by defeating all the enemies in the room, and collecting the Rupees. The door will not budge, because there is a switch that is hidden in this room. Turn into wolf form, and use your senses. You should see a group of ghosts that will be pointing at a painting. Shoot the painitng with an Arrow, then hit the switch with another Arrow in order to get access to the door. If you want to shoot down the other paintings then do so. Some of them will hide switches that will drop ChuChu's to the ground. Enter into the next room. There are two Darknuts in the next room. In order to defeat them, stay to one side of one, and make sure that you take out just that one. If the other one comes to life, the battle will be harder. Slay the first on as quick as possible, then take out the other one. Exit through the northwest (northeast on GameCube) door and find a switch as well as a chest that will contain 50 Rupees. Press the switch in order to make another chest appear. In order to get to that chest. drop down to the floor, and grapple onto the chandelier. Lower yourself down a bit, and grapple on the chandelier that is located above the balcony. Drop down to the chest and get the 200 Rupee that is in the chest. Go back to the Darknut room, and go through the door to the north. If you take the West (East on GameCube) Path: In this room, you will need to light the four torches in a certain order in order to enter the next room. Take out the painting that is in the room, and there is the clue about how to light them. On Wii, the order is southeast, northwest, northeast, and southwest. The GameCube version is southwest, northeast, northwest, and southeast. This will put you into the next room. Defeat the Armored Dynalfos, and unlock the doors in this room. Go through the northeast doors, and hit the switch in order to lower the chandelier. This will give you easy access from the front hall. Go back and go straight to the balcony. It didn't matter which side you took, you will still end up on the balcony. You will want to be on the west (east on GameCube) side of the balcony. Defeat the Dragon Warrior, then go all the way to the end of that balcony to get a Small Key. Go to the east (west on GameCube) side of the balcony and see a few Lizalfos want to defeat you. A blast will come out of nowhere, and take them all out. The little scene will show that your friends that you helped out earlier have come to help you. Go there and get the Big Key. Go back and enter the central door. Turn into wolf form here, and turn on your senses. You will see the invisible rats around. Get rid of them, and look for the ghosts that point the way across the blocks that are on the floor. Make sure that you pay close attention to the way that they are pointing, and quickly jump onto the block that they are pointing towards. Continue going in that direction until you see another ghost. Do not step on the wrong block or else you will fall off, and you will need to restart. When you make it to the next room, you will need to jump up the broken stairway, as well as defeat the enemies that are at the top of the room. When the enemies are defeated, use the Double Clawshots to grapple over the next set of stairs. Make your way straight to the next enemy-filled room. On the third stairway, you will need to use the Spinner. Start on the left (right on GameCube) side, and jump from side to side. Make sure that you avoid the spiked spinners that are in the way. When you make it to the top, you will need to take on another Darknut. Defeat this one like the others. Before you use the Big Key, use the Small Key on the western (eastern on GameCube) door, and stock up on all the supplies there, as well as the lots of Rupees. Now you will face off against Ganondorf. After watching the scene, you will notice that he posses Princess Zelda. Time for the final battle. -------------------------- 2.27. Final Battle, Part 1 -------------------------- The first part of this battle will pit you against the possessed Zelda. Zelda will be hovering out of the reach of the sword (shades of Phantom Ganon in both Ocarina of Time, and the Wind Waker), and will have three different attacks. Her first attack will be a diving sword attack that you can either block or dodge. The second attack will be a large triangle energy field that will surround you. Dodge this attack. The third attack will be an energy ball. This is the attack that you will need to deflect with your sword and play volleyball with her until she gets hit. Hit her with the energy ball three times to defeat her and free her. -------------------------- 2.28. Final Battle, Part 2 -------------------------- This one has two phased in order to beat this part. Ganon will appear in the form of a giant boar. Make sure that you have the Hero's Bow equipped for this part of the battle. Shoot Ganon in the head while the white spot that is on his head changes. If you score with a direct hit, then you will see Ganon fall to the ground while sliding. When he is sliding, make sure that you shield yourself by his bulk. Once he stops, he will expose his belly. This will be your chance to attack. There is one thing that you should know about this part. Ganon will never warp into the same place he warps out of. Make sure that you go to the spot that he warps out of and use the Arrow to view where he will appear next. When you lined up the shot with the spot on his head, use the Arrow at that point. You will know when phase two begins when Ganon warps away from your arrows. This will be your turn to go into wolf form. This will make sure that you take Ganon on beast vs. beast. Keep a close eye to the warp portals and line up with the blue portal that Ganon will emerge from. While he charges towards you, hold your ground and when the indicator appears at the bottom of the screen, grab him with A. Use the control stick to either move left or right in order to throw him. When Ganon goes down, pounce onto the weak spot and keep hitting the attack button in order to inflict more damage. You can inflict even more damage if you use human form. The key to this part of the battle will be getting into position right away. Ganon will get faster as the battle goes on. -------------------------- 2.29. Final Battle, Part 3 -------------------------- After the scene Midna and Ganon will battle each other, as Midna tries to rid the world of his evil. She will give you and Zelda the opportunity to escape. You will not be in control of the escape opportunity. When you are on Hyrule Field, Ganon will come out with Midna out of the picture, and he will be back in human form. He will also be on horseback. You, Zelda, and Epona will have to chase down Ganon and his horse. The key to this battle will be to get close enough to Ganondorf so that you can target him, allowing Zelda to strike with her Light Arrows. While Ganon is stunned, strike him with your sword. You can use the Spin Attack here. While you are trying to get Zelda into range to fire the Arrows, Ganondorf will try to attack you using one of two methods. The first one will be Ganondorf charging you to knock you off Epona. The second one will be Ganondorf shooting phantom riders, that when they hit you, you will fall off Epona. To avoid these attacks, make sure that you stay close to Ganondorf as possible. The closer you are to him, the more likly that Zelda can hit him with a Light Arrow. -------------------------- 2.30. Final Battle, Part 4 -------------------------- The final battle with Ganondorf will be right here. This will be a one-on-one battle using swords. Ganondorf is a master swordsman with both impressive defense skills, as well as powerful attacks. The sword that Ganondorf carries a long weapon, and with his height, can be trouble for you. In order to win this battle, make sure that you stay close to Ganondorf, while keeping your defense up, and look for any openings that you can take advantage off. Ganondorf will be left-handed in the Wii version, so circle clockwise when attacking. The Back Slice can also catch him off guard. If there is some distance between you can Ganondorf, and the word "chance" appears, press the A button and enter a standoff that will require you to repeatedly press A. Winning this battle will stun Ganondorf, making him vulnerable for attack. When you see Ganondorf fall to the ground, finish him off using the Ending Blow. Congradulations. You have defeated Ganondorf, and finished the Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess. ---------- 3. Secrets ---------- ----------------- 3.1.
